David Osborne (not to be confused with Super Dave) has written a truly excellent chronicle of he and his son Jake and their adventures in Northern California searching for the elusive Hairy Giants of the Northwest, the Sasquatch or Bigfoot. He and his son had an encounter in 2004 they cannot easily explain when they heard vocalizations and found tracks near their camper. They photographed the tracks and showed them to several researchers in the Golden State which got Bob and Kathy Strain and Tom Yamarone very interested. The Strains, Tom and Dave and Jake went to the area and saw eyeshine and heard grunts. Dave and Jake went out a few more times but did not get the luck they had years earlier. Dave took his wife on a Bigfoot Cruise in 2006 from Seattle to Alaska and met Dr. Robert Alley, author of Raincoast Sasquatch and rode with him to areas in his hometown of Ketchikan, Alaska where sightings have occurred. Finally, Dave goes back to the area in 2011 solo, but meets the Strains, Yams and additionally Daniel Falconer and Jerry Hein and they find...Well, I will not spoil it. This is a really great and enjoyable read, accentuated by color photos and an excellent piece of art on the cover by Falconer. 10 out of 10.
