Podcast Review: MonsterTalk Number 27

The topic of this show was the Minnesota Iceman, and the guest was Matt Crowley. Matt used to look through his mother's copies of Argosy Magazine and he read the Iceman story in Argosy. Matt saw a movie about Bigfoot at age 9 and was also given a copy of John Green's first book. He also watched TV shows on the subject, and said that by 1976, he was getting a bit angry that there had been no discovery as of yet. He set the subject aside until 2000 when he saw the story about the Skookum Cast. In 2003 he saw a presentation by Loren Coleman referring to the early history of Bigfoot as well as the Iceman. Matt was interested in that, mainly because of his background in sideshow work from 1991 to about 1994. Matt is skeptical of the Iceman mainly because of all the stories surrounding its origin as well as that it was said to have been a Hollywood-made model all along. Matt toured with a sideshow troupe in Canada and also with Perry Farrell's Lollapalooza tour. All in all, very interesting, about a 4 out of 5 stars.
