Extreme expedition expert Adam Davies describes his top ten tips for cryptozological field research. They include: Know your environment; Know your kit; Do the fitness; Don’t waste your time; and If you touch it, you risk ruining it. Elsewhere on Cryptomundo, Loren Coleman responds to Nick Redfern's post about cryptids being too elusive to be flesh and blood creatures. In Cryptids Are Not Totally Elusive, Actually, he points out that it's wrong to make “elusiveness” part of what makes a cryptid, a cryptid. "Actually," says Coleman, "cryptids are only cryptids until their true nature is known, and the fact they are not elusive, but physically known to humans, reveals them, of course, as animals." Then Nick Redfern Further Expounds on Monsters and Proof in a followup post in which he asks: Why are these cryptids "always the elusive ones, when other animals in the very same environments are not? Occasionally, yes of course they could elude ultimate detection. But always, throughout human history?"
