'The Smoking Gun' The Daily Triplicate
A farmer whose property lies near the California/Oregon border thinks he has had Bigfoot activity at his farm since at least 2008. Kirk Stewart collected hair samples he gave to North American Bigfoot Search for analysis, and preliminary reports indicate the hairs are from an unknown primate. Further tests are underway, with results expected in about six months. Is this, as the headline indicates, the "smoking gun" of Bigfoot proof? With photos. Elsewhere, a series of reports from Rupert Matthews, author of Bigfoot and Other Mysterious Creatures, can be found in Bigfoot Hits the Headlines, The Eastern Bigfoot and Early Bigfoot Tales, as Matthews guest blogs for Richard Thomas at Para-News. Meanwhile, the work of the Warner father/son team from Northern Ireland in their search for giant snakes in South America, as well as a little nomenclature from cryptozoologist Loren Coleman, make their way into Joshua Foer's reportOn the Trail of a 40-Foot Anaconda. Also, cryptozoologist Patrick Senn talks about cryptids and the search for them in The Vanguard, a University of South Alabama publication, as detailed in From the Field: Cryptozoology.
