Mountain State Spirit Seekers Society has taken on the Moundsville State Penitentiary in West Virginia on its reported ghostly activities. A former prison that witnessed many executions and murders, the site allegedly offered many convincing pieces of evidence, captured via recording devices as well as through mediumship, claims the investigative group. Jason Gerrard, founder of the society, looks at ghost hunting as a way of helping spirits trapped in another plane and looks to find if the dead have a message to relay. "I want to continue on because I want to help people" says Gerrard, albeit dead people. Halloween is a time when the media lowers the “ridicule curtain” and revels in all things otherworldly and strange--all in an effort to attract attention, no doubt. Now what do we have here? American Idol, Bigfoot, and Tom Biscardi? It's a match made in media heaven. Sure there are a lot of ghost stories around as Halloween approaches, but there's a lot about Sasquatch as well this year.

A video report of a motorist in the Houston area who spotted an odd animal in the road and thought it could be the legendary Chupacabras. So he took a video of the dead animal. But it turns out to be a coyote with a serious case of mange. Speaking of which the International Cryptozoology Museum is looking for a taxidermist for a Chupacabras...err coyote... that someone has donated to the museum: CZ Museum Taxidermist Volunteer Needed Now.

New Thunderbird Sighting Still on the Track
On Sunday night in Pacifica, Missouri, witnesses describe seeing "a massive flying creature...It was brownish/grey and the body portion was at least the size of a large adult human." It was about 200 feet away and seemed to be following their car. Elsewhere, The Chinese Cat Girl; Sasquatch hunters hope to find proof in Dolly Sods in Virginia; and a 1936 film that claimed to show the first evidence of the Loch Ness monster can be seen online beginning at 8:20 in this video: The Loch Ness Monster: Proof at Last!

Reviews: Sasquatch Watch Radio 10-26-09/Bigfoot Quest 10-27-09
This was a great show, with guest Dave Dragosin who discussed some interesting cases he looked into in the state of Pennsylvania, including his sketches of some of the sightings. Bill Green and I called in and asked some questions of Dave, including about reports in Bucks County and also the famous Westmoreland County Bigfoot/UFO cases from the 1970's. Bill asked his standard questions as well. Bruce also called in and talked to Dave about various things. Dunno what Billy and Mike have planned for next week, but it begins at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central.

European Black Panthers Sighted Cryptomundo
On Sunday a black panther was seen in southwest Luxembourg and reported to police, who conducted a search with a police helicopter and thermal camera but found nothing. A similar animal had been seen in Belgium. In recent months reports have also come in from northern France as well as England. Workers at Fushun, Liaoning, China, allegedly found a 55-foot snake while working with a shovel car this past August 4, 2009. With photo. Is it just a matter of forced perspective? Even so the snake would have to be some 20 feet long. Nite Callers was pretty terrific, with guest Bill Bean, who discussed such things as politics and the belief that President Obama is the Anti-Christ, spirits such as dark entities and fleeting glimpses of dark manifestations and other spiritual matters. I called in and asked Bill about the Sasquatch and implications of it possibly being a demonic manifestation, the mention of the possibility of Sasquatch in the Bible and other subjects. Adam Davies-leads an expedition into the Himalayas to find evidence
The Yeti is described as 8 feet tall, covered in grey hair and can kill a yak with one blow
Dr. Ian Redmond, a leading expert into apes and gorillas, accompanies the expedition team
The team is going to Mount Dhaulagiri, where some of the most recent tracks have been found
A fellow named Mick Paul is also with the expedition
They are going to a camp at almost 15,000 feet
They are rigging a camera to a helium balloon which they will fly over the ridges to see any animals or wildlife
The climb is pretty steep, and 90-degree weather does not help
They decide to stay by the river for the trek
Peter Byrne is interviewed about the backstory and history of the Yeti and his involvement in it
Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay were the first to reach the top of Mount Everest, and they found tracks
The Eric Shipton photograph of a track is also profiled
Tom Slick entered the scene in the '50's and sponsored several expeditions, including with Peter Byrne
Hairs collected 50 years ago are being examined, hairs from Tom Slick's expeditions

During a regularly scheduled meeting to watch the skies for UFOs, a group of UFO researchers claims to have observed a curious UFO event. The July 25, 2009, event involved a UFO seen exiting the water and speeding away. Meanwhile, there are some interesting statements among what has been released from the UFO files of another South American country, as seen in Brazil Military Leaks Amazing UFO Event. Bruce Duensing continues his treatise showing similarities between the ghost phenomenon and the UFO phenomenon and pointing out an experiment to measure the environmental factors present in each might "reach two ghost birds with one stone". Elsewhere, the Paranormal Pastor, Robin Swope, offers a tale that may parallel what Bruce Duensing has said, as you'll see in The Lurkers in Twilight. The good pastor relates the tale of Steve's encounter in the Pennsylvania woods during the Great Depression and follows it up with a modern day encounter with a similar entity.
