Thetis Lake Monster Revisited Cryptomundo
After investigating the British Columbian Lizardman reports, Junior Skeptic editor Daniel Loxton declares the whole thing groundless. He spoke with eyewitness Russell Van Nice, who told him the pivotal Van Nice/Gold sighting was a hoax. The British tabloid has published the photograph of an alleged Orang Pendek footprint, which was found after two of the four members of an expedition to Sumatra caught a glimpse of the creature. According to Testing The Evidence, posted on the journal of expedition member Adam Davies, the author of Extreme Expeditions, they found hair of the creature at two locations; a piece of Rattan, which it was probably chewing; two separate Orang-Pendek trails; as well as additional eyewitnesses. The show was pretty terrific, with Melissa and Monica hosting as guests Billy Willard, Wayne Larsen and Larry Battson, to discuss a new series of recordings from Michigan alleged to be of possible Sasquatch creatures, and it was just a roundtable discussion dealing with the possible recordings and their validity (or lack thereof) and how the group that got the recordings was demanding better proof but yet are the first ones to ravage anyone in the Bigfoot Community who disagree with them. Tonight, they will be doing the show on the ethics issue with this particular group and the implications thereof. 9:00 EST/8:00 Central. Review: Bigfoot Busters 9-29-09/Bigfoot Field Reporter 9-25-09
Bigfoot Busters was great, with guest Bill Munns, who discussed his research into the Patterson/Gimlin Film and the experiments he has conducted in his quest for answers on the reality of the film, such as what was seen on the recent Monsterquest episode Critical Evidence where he built 5 different heads which looked unique and different and installed each of them on a rolling stand and films them to see which one is more accurate to "Patty." From what I understand, Tim and Chuck are having Dr. Jeff Meldrum on next week's show, beginning at 7:00 EST/6:00 Central.

Sharonlee's show was terrific, a show live on location from the Meet and Greet of the Texas Bigfoot Conference, with several folks being interviewed briefly on the Conference, including Scott Herriott, a fellow named Shawnee from Oklahoma who was shooting a documentary at the Conference, Dr. Esteban Sarmiento, Alton Higgins and and Mike Esordi and Diana Smith of the Believe It Tour. The highlight of the show was hearing Bob Gimlin talk about the events of October 20, 1967, and also the importance of having the right mindset in the woods to see a Sasquatch. Dunno what Sharon has planned for this week, but it begins at 6:00 EST/5:00 Central. And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

Davies Orang Pendek Expedition Update Cryptomundo
News from the rainforest of Sumatra concerning the new sighting of an Orang Pendek and the gathering of evidence is, says Loren Coleman, quite encouraging. Apparently, the creature was seen in a tree, at some distance, through branches and vines, though not photo was taken. Review: Sasquatch Watch Radio 9-28-09/2 Shows Tonight...
This was a pretty terrific show, with guest Joedy Cook, who discussed recent activity in Ohio and also his upcoming two books Traces of the Grassman and The Complete Field Guide to Bigfoot Research, both of which should be available within the next six months. Bill and I called in, and I asked Joedy about how to determine a true story from a fake one, and Bill asked his standard question and also discussed with Joedy about how sightings correlate with weather patterns. Abe the Elusive1 also called in, mainly to listen and also to talk a bit to Joedy. Joedy also discussed his most recent "sighting" at Salt Fork State Park from earlier this year (an event I was present at but did not see anything myself) which may have been those New Zealand folks fooling around. The Curious Case of the Snake with Foot Forgetomori
A snake with a foot is found in China. Snakes with limbs are not unheard of, since their ancestor did have limbs, but there's something about this particular claw that just doesn't looks right. Kentaro Mori resolves the mystery. He should tackle that Irish lake monster video, the story of which finally made the mainstream press with Mysterious shape that looks a loch like Nessie. Cryptozoologists are beginning to have doubts about it, however. Glen Vaudrey writes that one item in the video might be "a large water bird, which appears to be taking off."

I Brake For Skeptics Michael Prescott's Blog
It takes a while for Michael Prescott to make his point in this post, which appears to be about an experiment in which a speed bump was installed in the drive-through lane of a Burger King restaurant. But, as it turns out, his true focus is on the skeptics of the experiment who end up sounding very much like the skeptics of the paranormal. It can all be summed in in Colin Wilson's comment after reading Martin Gardner's best-selling book Fads and Fallacies in the Name of Science: "I wish I could be as sure of anything as Martin Gardner is of everything." New Irish Lake Monster Video Cryptomundo
On Thursday, September 17, 2009, individuals associated with the Centre for Fortean Zoology were above Lady’s View in County Kerry, Eire, obtained some images of anomalous animate objects on the lake. Says Loren Coleman: "Downes and his companions appear to have stumbled onto something on the surface of it that looks remarkable, and they have moving digital images to back it up for analysis." Breaking News: Orang Pendek Sighted Cryptomundo
Adam Davies, now returning from his latest Sumatra expedition, writes that two expedition members have sighted the orang pendek. It was described as bipedal and "almost chimpanzee-like." Tracks were found, as well as hair samples and some rattan which it was eating. Also on Cryptomundo, a guest blog from Germany by Markus Felix Bühler on the giant Man-Eating Catfish, which turned out to be an example case of an internet monster hoax.
