The first of a two-part story of Bigfoot encounters in Southeast Missouri, where they are not uncommon. After hearing a "crunch, crunch, then limbs started breaking and falling," Ken Mattheis saw a "large black shadow" near his parent's farmhouse one January. His mother later saw "a large black shadow" stand up and walk off into the woods. Ken went to the spot the next day and found large footprints in the grass.
