A stellar voice in the Fortean wilderness has passed on, as Loren Coleman documents in this tribute to the man who brought the Mothman experience to life. Coleman reviews the life and works of John Keel, presenting numerous images along the way. Keel's contributions to the many facets of Forteana will continue to influence the field for years to come. Keel was best known to the general public as the author of The Mothman Prophecies, the book that formed the basis for the 2002 movie of the same name that starred Richard Gere, Debra Messing, Laura Linney and Alan Bates. There's more tribute to Keel in Jon Downes' posting atCryptozoology Online: John Keel Dead, with video.
