Review: Monsterquest 3-18-09

This was kind of a boring episode despite the premise of it, being that it was searching for a giant, perhaps 60-70-foot long Great White Shark, with much the same folks who also searched for the Giant Squid on two previous episodes from Seasons 1 and 2, and there were eyewitness accounts given regarding seeing what is called a "Black Demon" in the sea off the Baja Peninsula in Mexico, a large shark which may live in the Mariana Trench. There was some efforts made to attempt to see it and perhaps film it, but nothing successful. They even searched from the air and got no results. Still, I would give it about a 3 out of 5 stars. Not necessarily one of the better MQ episodes, but not the worst either. Next week, Hairy Hominids come into play once again, with an episode examining Bigfoot encounters in Indiana, Washington State and Minnesota, titled Monster Close Encounters, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central on History.
