Editorial: Coming to the defense of Bob Gimlin
There has been quite a bit written and said about the Patterson/Gimlin Movie, more especially in recent years about Mr. Bob Gimlin, which has angered quite a few people, because some skeptically-minded individuals have made claims about Mr. Gimlin which have yet to be substantiated, calling him a liar and a hoaxer, without absolute proof to back it up other than the word of Bob Heironimus and supposedly 100 residents of Yakima, Washington. Heironimus, of course, has pretty well made quite a few contradictory statements regarding the origin of the alleged suit, as well as the location of the film site and other aspects of the mystery. I am coming to the defense of Bob Gimlin, even though it seems over the past few months I sometimes take the devil's advocate position a little too strongly sometimes. I believe the film shows a real creature, but even if it doesn't, it does not mean that Gimlin was in on it. He could have been duped, and that is not a slam on his character. We have all been duped by someone or something in this field of inquiry, so if Gimlin was duped, he is good company. I personally do not think he was duped-I believe by 90% the film is real and shows a real Sasquatch. Gimlin is a personal hero, and I believe he is telling the truth, despite what a few skeptically-minded individuals might say about him. Why should he have to take a polygraph test if they are so unreliable and are not an absolute gauge of truth or deception? I feel that Gimlin, except for speaking at a few events, just wants to be left alone and not bothered so much about all the drama surrounding this film. He knows in his heart he is telling the truth, and has a good bit of backup in that regard, including myself, so far as I am concerned, Gimlin is telling the truth, and that is all there is to it.

This was a wonderful show, with guest Scott Herriott, who discussed his recent appearance on CNN, as well as a bit about the thing on Mars, and his newest venture as co-host of the Bigfoot Show with Brian Brown (Bipto on Bigfoot Forums), his theories on why there is no truly hard evidence, and also how we need objectivity in the field. He also discussed about DFoot and his methods regarding his investigation into the P/G Movie and some of the nebulous statements made by DFoot regarding those. Editorial: What the Heck is that on Mars?
Recently, a new photo has surfaced which was allegedly taken in 2004 by a Mars Rover of what appears to be some sort of figure on the surface of the planet Mars which seems to resemble the classic Patterson/Gimlin Movie image. It is a dark image which resembles Bigfoot just a bit, but what is it doing on the Red Planet? Opinions have ranged from a Photoshop job to a rock formation to a deliberate hoax by NASA to make it seem that it was taken on Mars, but looks suspiciously like the surface of I believe Colorado or New Mexico or Arizona. What is it? Who knows? But it certainly has made for some interesting discussions in the Bigfoot Community.

Review: Beyond The Edge Radio 1-25-08
This was a great show, with guest Loyd Auerbach for the first hour, discussing his books, as well as some of his research into psychokinesis and how it affects people seeing spirits. He also discussed some upcoming events he is part of, as well as answering a question from myself regarding whether a person can have experiences in which they smell certain odors around a person such as cigarette smoke and cooking (which I myself have experienced and convinces me that my grandmother is still with me). Scott Hackenslash also checked in with a review of the new film Cloverfield which he gave 3 bloody stumps up to. He also discussed the death of actor Heath Ledger and how it will affect the upcoming sequel The Dark Knight this upcoming Summer which stars Ledger as The Joker. The second hour was devoted to guest-co-host Rick Fisher, who discussed EVP's as well as his investigations into things like Bigfoot, UFOs, Ghosts and other things he and the Paranormal Society of PA has investigated. It was a great show, very enjoyable. Next week, Eric and Sean bring on the controversial Robert W.
