Book Review: Bigfoot And I: A Personal Journey Into The World of Sasquatch by Darin Richardson

Great First-Time Effort

This book delves into the true story of The Bigfoot Mystery host, who discusses his early life and his early interest in the Sasquatch, as well as his interest in Comic Books, Science Fiction and Cartoons. He grew up seeing Bigfoot on TV, but always thought it was a TV character or legend, eventually becoming a Civil War Re-enactor in Oregon, where he had his first sighting in 1991 at Mineral Lake which affected him deeply, but not so deeply that he drew a sketch of the creature he saw in 1993, which is now incorporated by Dr. John Bindernagel in his presentations. He also describes his life in the seventeen years since his sighting, such as in 1999 when he got married at a Western Bigfoot Society get-together wearing a Bigfoot suit, and also when he moved to an area near the Dalles, where he and his roommates have had some interesting encounters near a ravine close to the house he rents with other folks. He also goes into different theories he has of what the Sasquatch is, and also highly praises other researchers and other radio shows and books. He ends the book with a trip back to Mineral Lake, the location of his '91 sighting. I do recommend this book for those who want to read about a little-known but rising star in Bigfooting. I would give this book a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.
