David Paulides spent twenty years as a private investigator in Santa Clara County, CA. Then, four years ago, Paulides decided to combine his investigative abilities with his love of the outdoors by searching for Bigfoot. Paulides' decision led to the formation of North American Bigfoot Search and the forthcoming book The Hoopa Project: Bigfoot Encounters in California. By focusing on the Hoopa Indian Reservation, have Paulides and North American Bigfoot Search turned a corner in the search for Sasquatch?

Per the article, Paulides spent 20 years as a Police Officer/detective prior to joining NABS. His book chronicles 45 Bigfoot reports where all witnesses signed affidavits. They met with a forensic artist and the hominid was drawn. This is the first time a law enforcement sketch artist personally met and drew Bigfoot based on eyewitness accounts. The sketches have been described as "riveting."
