The recent attack that killed an alpaca on a farm in Marathon County, WI, recalls the 2006 Bigfoot Researchers Organization's trip to northern Wisconsin. The alpaca attack has been attributed to a bear on the strength of hair found on a damaged fence. But what if it was not a bear? Could Bigfoot have found an easy meal? Or, as one reader remarked, could the attack have been the work of "a creature known as the bearwolf," reported to have been sighted in Marathon County and elsewhere around Wisconsin? Meanwhile, Loren Coleman at Cryptomundo takes a look at reconstructions and the fossil record to try to determine What Is Bigfoot? With photos and illustrations. In other strange creature news, the reports of previously unknown creatures found in 2007 is out as a Group Touts 10 Wild New Species.
