A skull unearthed in Henan Province, China, is suspected by some researchers of being a modern human/archaic human hybrid. The Chinese say the skull is that of a modern human. The skull, 80,000 to 100,000 years old, may actually be a precursor to modern humans. What happens to the timetable for dispersal out of Africa now that this fossil has been found?
