DVD Review: The Triumph and Tragedy of World Class Championship Wrestling
Reflections Back On 2007 by Don Keating
As we turn the page on the calendar to yet another new year I am reminded of what we actually accomplished in 2007, and what took place that makes a person wonder aloud "why did I ever start doing this to begin with?"
The year held some really good Bigfoot sighting reports from Ohio as well as a few possibly good track discoveries. Salt Fork State Park proved to be a good venue once again as the 19th Annual Bigfoot Conference drew 360 people from all across North America and had its first cross seas speaker in the name of Tony Healy from Canbera, Australia. The 20th Annual Bigfoot Conference slated for May 17th, 2008 promises to draw as many if not more as 2007. The big draw this year will be Dr. Jeff Meldrum from Idaho and M. K. Davis from Mississippi as well as Eric Altman from neighboring Pennsylvania. A fourth speaker may sign on later in 2008 before the event.
I also realized there are good people out there who want to get into the field and help out, no matter who they are working with. Two of these folks would be David and Kerry as they came to Guernsey county in early December with six inches of snow on the ground and helped out with some research. I'm sure we'll see much more of this dynamic duo in 2008.
I have little hope that 2008 will do anything more than continue to fog the perception of the general public regarding what is truth and what is fiction. With a growing number of "Bigfooters" starting their own internet radio shows and telling good stories (none of which can backup these stories with solid documented evidence) then I'm afraid we're in a spiral downward to nothing good as the result.
I've rambled on long enough, more than I normally do in fact, so I'll leave you with this thought. If you truly get into the field and attempt to discover what's going on, that's all that really counts. Happy New Year to those of you who have bothered to read this far.
Nick Redfern Interview BoA Audio
Season III of the series wraps up 2007 with a 2 hour and 5 minute interview of popular high strangeness author and investigator Nick Redfern. Tim Binnall draws out Redfern's vast knowledge on many of the paranormal subjects Redfern has investigated through the years, spending considerable time on the subjects of his book Memoirs of a Monster Hunter. The popular broadcast downloads take a January hiatus to recharge before resuming next month.

The year’s best books in cryptozoology are diverse and surprising; an entire bonus list of reprinted classic titles has been assembled, as well. Book cover imagery aplenty.

Zoos are always in the background in cryptozoology. Wild animals in our midst. Cryptids in our neighborhoods. Zoology for the people. Pay attention to what is being published.

When we founded SQuatchMEDIA in 2006, we never thought we would have expanded into other realms besides the field of Bigfoot/ Sasquatch Research. Now we move towards the future and embrace other worldly and unworldly oddities.
"The Sasquatch Experience" became part of a catalyst, which inspired many other Bigfoot shows to come forth. The hosts of those new shows, lacking the experience, needing the promotion - as well as assistance, formed an Alliance which became "SQuatchMEDIA". In the last year, some of those shows have disappeared, some have remained, and new ones have emerged. It is the cycle of all things.
Eric Altman came to me in August of 2006, with an idea for a new show. A paranormal and entertainment show. Coincidentally, I was also working on a new project, and need a partner for this endeavor. The Project of course falling along the same lines as Eric's idea. We decided that this show deserved the breathe of life. It was then that "Beyond the Edge Radio" was born.
Since a new direction was revealing itself, we knew that SQuatchMEDIA was becoming obsolete, as it was only telling of one particular direction. No longer were we bound to the single road of Sasquatchery. It was time for a change. As we needed to expand out topics, we needed to give ourselves a name which gave us a wide berth to nest in. A name that encompassed all these anomalies and enigmas.
Yes... that's it. Anomalies. So with a quick stroke of the pen, Anomalies became Anomalis and we were off. Anomalis Entertainment.... that's us. Uncovering the Hidden World around us. One anomaly at a time.
