Review: Sasquatch Triangle 2-18-09

This was a terrific show, with John Horrigan from Needham, Massachusetts, who discussed the Mass Monster Mash and his most recent event, as well as investigations he has undertaken referring to strange and unusual occurrences, including Bigfoot reports in the Hockamock Swamp, part of the Bridgewater Triangle in Massachusetts. I called in and asked John for his latest story, and he told me of a new encounter from BigfootEncounters.com which I will include the link to at the bottom of this review. Bruce also called in and discussed the Bridgewater Triangle as well. Sharonlee from Northeast Ohio is the new co-host as well. Review: Monsterquest 2-18-09

This was a really good episode, the first Hairy Hominids episode of the season on Swamp Stalker, the Fouke Monster. Members of the Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy are in the swamps close to Fouke, in the Sulphur River Bottoms searching for proof of the beast. Several eyewitness accounts are recounted as well, as well as recounting about the movie The Legend of Boggy Creek. Loren Coleman is interviewed about the Fouke Monster as well. Rick Noll is also involved with the expedition, and helps out with it. Not only is the search taking place in the Boggy Creek area, but also in the Ouachita Mountains in southeastern Oklahoma. Some gamecams are also set up, and Dr. Jeff Meldrum is seen examining the Fouke Monster cast. He thinks it could be possibly a bear track, but is cautiously optimistic. There is also a scat sample found which seems to be rather large, but is found to be from a feral hog. There are also sightings recounted from other areas of Arkansas. One thing some expedition members are doing is taking a kayak into the swamps and rowing along the shorelines, with infrared flashlights on their heads, and broadcasting sounds into the dark swamps. The same thing is occurring in the Ouachita Mountains, with TBRC members Alton Higgins and Daryl Colyer. Daryl also recounts his own experience seeing a Hairy Hominid. The evidence is gathered, trailcams are examined, and what is revealed is...well, I won't give too much away, Next week focuses on the Jersey Devil, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central on History. In 1878 a London naturalist who worked at the London Aquarium stopped traffic and jammed streets while he paraded his new "pet," which he had purchased from locals in southern France. Apparently no anatomist could identify the beast, which was described as two-feet in length, and standing two-feet at the shoulder, its body covered in wiry hairs, its head and tail resembled that of a boar, but it seemed bereft of an abdomen, and its back legs seemingly situated right behind its forelegs! No one knows what became of Mr Davy’s "demon."

Russia: University Expedition to Find Siberian Yeti All News Web

A dozen credible witnesses have reported seeing a Yeti or Bigfoot type Snowman in a mountainous area known as the Azzaskoy Caves in south-west Siberia. The sightings are being taken seriously enough for the University of Kemerovo to organise a full scientific expedition to finally confirm or deny their existence. But the story sounds fishy to Loren Coleman, who notes that there is no “University of Kemerovo" and asks Siberian Snowman: Hot Story or Hoax? HBM's was GREAT, with guest Scott Herriott, who discussed his career as a documentarian, and his interest in the Pacific Crest Trail, which he has made 3 of those documentaries and is working on a fourth (Walk, Still Walking, Even More Walking and Walked). He also discussed his two documentaries on Hairy Hominids, Squatching and Journey Toward Squatchdom which he discussed. He also recounted his encounter he had with Darryl Owen in 1992, as well as discussing what he thinks of some of the current documentaries. Bill Green called in and discussed some things, including the new Friday the 13th Movie (he is gonna beat that dead horse like he beat the Ga. Hoax, LOL) and asking his standard question. LOL I am working on getting Ken Gerhard as my next guest, March 1st, back at the regular time of 9:30 Eastern/8:30 Central.

On Nite Callers, Dan Ricke was back as the guest, and there were several photos shown, including some possible frames of a face. There were also photos of a bait station and a series of photos of possible eyeshine. Bill and I called in, and he again discussed the Friday the 13th Movie and also asked his standard question. LOL There was a good deal of discussion on the research going on in Oklahoma as well. Next week, the show will be a remembrance of the recent outing in Texas, back at its regular time of 7:00 EST/6:00 Central.

DVD Review: Operation In-Depth: High Altitude Bigfoot Research

This DVD, shot in the fall of 2008, takes us 4,000 feet up into the Olympic Mountains of Washington State, where the WSSSG (Washington State Sasquatch Search Group) attempts to anticipate what they believe to be possible migration patterns of the local Sasquatch population in the area. On the second day of the expedition, fresh footprints are found in snow in the area. They believe the creature appears to be following migrating elk. An 18" footprint is found, and appears to be the classic Sasquatch track, with the hourglass shape and visible toes. The tracks appear to cut down into a large creek bed. There is a heavy snowfall as filming is occurring as well. The tracks are followed by one of the researchers into thick timber. The team experiences wood-knocking and object-throwing, and also seems to be panicking the alleged creature into moving deeper into the timber and twisting and breaking off several trees. On the video, the alleged creature is heard to crash through the trees on an elk trail, and the team attempts to cut it off. Apparently, the creature was about to cross the trail in front of the videocamera, but anticipated it and just stops. Something apparently hits a tree just as the team appears to be closing in, causing errant snow to fall. Another track is found as the videographer tracks down the possible Sasquatch (or attempts to). Possible blood is also located (Sasquatch or elk?) As the team closes in, a possible creature is spotted and the wake of it is filmed. Something appears to be caught on camera, a movement of some sort. The possible creature is tracked for three hours and drops down over 1,000 feet in elevation into a valley. A second team finds tracks of a possible smaller Sasquatch. The pursuit of the Sasquatch by this group takes them into some beautiful areas, and the results are interesting, but ultimately inconclusive. Still, this effort is well-documented and they are to be commended. I give this DVD about a 4 1/2 out of 5 stars. Order it at This address
