Loren Coleman lists 15 lists. That's right, but these aren't just any lists; they're lists that are of interest to cryptoozoology. Elsewhere, Coleman goes searching for information about an out-of-place animal that made the news, briefly, in 2009, as reported in What Became of Ohio Zebra?

Upcoming Episodes

1/10/2010 6:00 PM - Jeff Wamsley/ The Mothman Lives

Loren Coleman presents a new video from YouTube that purports to show a cryptid creature crouching on a limb in the Maine woods. What's real and what's fake about this bit of new cryptid lore? The video may be an example of what cryptid researchers will have to suffer through in the New Year, and Coleman has some examples of what such serious researchers had to suffer through during the year just ended in Top Ten Worst Bigfoot Stories of 2009. Meanwhile, Coleman adds some notes to Gary Campbell's revelations in Top Ten Nessie Stories for 2009 (with images) and presents a fine compendium of publishing's Top Ten Cryptozoology Books of 2009, with cover art.

In an exclusive news release, William Gibbons brings to light some of the latest findings he and his associates have made concerning the dinosaur-like cryptid known by Congolese natives as the Mokele-Mbembe or La'Kila-Bembe and the rhinoceros-like Emela-Ntouka, which is also known as the N'Goubou. Gibbons expresses the belief the Mokele-Mbembe may be in danger of imminent extinction. Whatever the case, both of these cryptids are very rare. With images. Meanwhile, there's some very positive news for the International Museum of Cryptozoology revealed in Museum Makes Another Top Ten List.

Larry Battson's Wild World Tomorrow...

Larry is ending 2009 with a New Years' Eve celebration with his brother Kevin, beginning at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central. And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.
A woman living near Grantsville in western Maryland describes what she saw while returning from a holiday party in the early post-midnight hours on December 16. What could the creature be that this lady encountered in western Maryland? That's a question for cryptozoologists, of course. But cryptozoologists don't always get to check out exotic beasts like the one prowling 'round a garbage can in Maryland. Sometimes they have to involve themselves with less bizarre creatures, such as the ones described in New Pygmy Sea Cow Discovered. With images.

Wildmen and Fossil Hominids Cryptozoology Online
Dale Drinnon gives his opinion concerning the ongoing examination of fossilized remains of hominids and the reports of such "wildmen" as Australia's Yowie. Noting the primitive appearance of fossils found in Australia and elsewhere, Drinnon compares the finds and reports to the supposed existence of "Solo hominids...also called 'tropical neanderthals'...". Is there a new way of looking at what may be lurking in the woods? Meanwhile, Loren Coleman comments on a recent reexamination of a World War I claim by a German naval officer and the resultant images in An Art Motif Origin for U28's Croc Monster?
A true Renaissance Man gets a quick biography that juxtaposes what everyone considers his solid scientific side to what many consider a crazy swerve on life's later path. Robert Rines was one of the foremost inventors in a nation full of the inventive spirit. He was a scientist, composer, patent attorney and...probably the best known of all the Loch Ness Monster hunters. What drove a renowned individual with impeccable academic credentials to search for what is arguably the most famous cryptid in the world? Could it be he was convinced the creature existed? There were other Nessie searchers around Loch Ness at the time of Rines' investigations, and some of them were of a character far beneath that of Rines, as you'll see in Mike Dash's report Frank Searle's Lost Second Book. With photos. Elsewhere, Loren Coleman shares comments on an unsavory claim that has raised the hackles of many sober seekers of North America's best known cryptid, as seen in Bigfoot Massacre Mess Ends Decade. With images.
