She has as much energy as a hydroelectric plant, virtually running on water alone, and somewhere down the line, must be related to Annie Oakley. Her name is Phylis B. Canion, Phyl for short. She divides her time between actively practicing as a Doctor of Nutrition and an avid outdoorsman. Two years and 26 chickens later, the Chupacabra landed in the hands of someone determined to discover the truth about what she thinks is the mystical Chupacabra. Heavy rains and lowland flooding caused the creature to stir, resulting in a vehicle collision. The rest is simply history, but the legend truly lives on. The passion for the truth about this beast is one that has not only captured the inquisative nature of the Chupacabra Lady but all of the thousands that have contacted her with even more questions that one can imagine. What do you think-go to our page and tell us. See the website at: http://www.cuerochupacabra.com/index.html Join Nite Callers Radio for something different and unique. A Mummified Little Person? Cabinet of Wonders
From the Fortean news of the day: A 14-inch long mummy, discovered in Casper, WY, in 1932, has been pointed to as a possible example of the Little People the Native Americans said inhabited the forests of the New World. Dale Drinnon and Dr. Karl Shuker have taken opposite sides in the argument over whether the mummy is an adult or just an example of a deformed fetus. With images. Meanwhile, more than mummified remains are the subject of A Human Bone-stealing Cult Loose in Venezuela? Elsewhere, Loren Coleman sees "twilight language" in what a woman assailant was wearing during her attack on a religious leader, as seen in Woman in Red Attacks Pope. Does the attack portend the coming fulfillment of a prophecy? With video. Man Dressed In Animal Skins Killed By Hunters

An archived news account of a fantastic encounter along the seashore near Tacoma, WA, is revived. The alleged encounter is supposed to have taken place in July of 1893 when several men on a fishing trip pitched camp near some surveyors. As a group the two camps then faced a monstrous form from the sea that possessed the ability to hurl "electrified water" at the men. Did the men witness a creature from the deep, or was their fear brought to the surface by some underwater vessel? That tale was no doubt included in the top tales of unexplained creatures for 1893, but what about such anomalous creatures for the year that's quickly slipping away? Loren Coleman has that covered with The Top Ten Cryptozoology Stories of 2009. With images.

In today's maverick science offerings: Consensus astronomers, having observed red giant stars exhibiting unexplained variations in luminosity, say "all possible explanations...fail." That's not so, says Mel Acheson. According to Acheson, consensus astronomers are refusing to listen to explanations from those who dissent with the consensus, such as the Electric Universe theorists. Can electric currents in space explain the behavior of red giant stars that is anomalous to consensus astronomers? Elsewhere, the now ubiquitous laser will celebrate its 50th anniversary next year, and scientists are hard at work to give the extremely useful tool another job that might have significance for everyone, as explained in Miracle Light: Can Lasers Solve the Energy Crisis? Meanwhile, much has been made of the recent story of satellite images revealing an ancient city submerged in the Caribbean Sea, prompting the original source of the news report to say Herald de Paris Makes "Atlantis" Claims? Look Again.
