Sasquatch Experience Tomorrow...
Sean and I are continuing our tour of the US in the Golden State of California, with hopefully guests Tom Yamarone, James "Bobo' Fay and Bart Cutino, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central. And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.
It was, of course, just the eight-foot tall, four hundred pound replica of Bigfoot that Loren Coleman is moving into the new home of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Maine. And if you are in the Northeast this weekend, don't miss the Mass Monster Mash, where Coleman, Nick Redfern, Jeff Belander and others will be giving talks on both cryptozoology and UFOs.
Capybara Sightings Continue in Barnet The Times
The identity of a large rodent-like creature seen tottering through Totteridge in England reamins a mystery. According to some ten independent witnesses, one or more capybaras are on the loose in the area and hiding in nearby woodland and farmland. The 140lb creature, known to be the largest living rodent in the world, is native to South America and is very rarely seen in the English countryside. But naturalist John Colman believes the alleged capybara is in fact only a deer. Elsewhere, in A Perfect Picture of Mystery, Karl Shuker wonders what animals were depicted in a painting that was auctioned off on eBAy several years ago. Review: Sasquatch Watch Radio 10-12-09
This was a really terrific show, with guest Bob Strain, who discussed his research, separate and with his wife Kathy, as well as his sighting and encounter from many years ago. Bill and I called in and asked him various questions, including Bill asking his standard question, as well as questions from the chat. Dunno what Billy has planned for next week (DB is taking a perhaps permanent break), but it begins at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central.
A "Smallfoot" Report? Inexplicata
In June of 2006 a well-known watchmaker and artist was driving on a highway when he saw a strange creature resting quietly on the shoulder. The animal had a monkey-like appearance with short arms and very straight long legs. When the driver stopped about 30 yards short of this creature, the apelike being did not move and turned its head toward the truck. The witness then saw that the animal had glowing red eyes and that its body appeared to be covered with something resembling "short, whitish feathers." What was that? And over in Argentina, remember that cow abducted by a UFO photograph? Well, here's an Analysis.

Nite Callers was great, with members of the On The Fringe Reality Show, discussing such things as their investigations into Bigfoot and The Fouke Monster, as well as investigating other anomalous mysteries such as ghosts, haunted houses, strange lights and UFOs. I called in and asked if they had heard of haunted dormitories on College campuses, as well as plugging HBM's and the Sasquatch Experience and also the upcoming Bigfoot Discovery Day III event next weekend. Also, Lauren did a Footers in the Field segment with a fascinating story. Not sure what Laurie, Lauren and Luke have planned for next week, but it begins at 7:00 EST/6:00 Central.

Goatmen and Satyrs Cryptomundo
Wondering what should be done about all the reports of "goatmen," Loren Coleman brings up Mark Hall's theory that these may actually be reports of satyrs, who wrote: "Their extraordinary physical capabilities have caused them to be called ‘goat-men’ out of a mistaken perception of their mode of locomotion..." Includes a detailed account of the sighting of a satyr-type creature in Louisiana in 1993. In another story, the question is raised: What Happened To Minnesota’s Kangaroos?
A Third of Dinosaur Species Never Existed? National Geographic News
Paleontologists from the University of California, Berkeley, and Montana State University are arguing that since it appears dinosaurs underwent dramatic physical changes during adulthood, many fossils of young dinosaurs have been misidentified as unique species. The smoking gun turns out to be the discovery of a dinosaur between the size of an adult T. rex and Nanotyrannus, which if the researchers are correct may actually have been a young T. rex. Elsewhere, in The Fall Of The Maya the answer to the question what caused the demise of the once vibrant 1,200-year-old Mayan society is answered by: "they ended up deforesting and destroying their landscape in efforts to eke out a living in hard times."

A "Thing" Sighted In Weardale Still on the Track
Something flew out in from of Jan Edwards' car the night of Oct. 7th. "Whatever it was, was not a bird, and was not a moth or bat. It was approx. 3 feet long, about 1ft wide at the head, tapering down to a short tail. It was white and almost see-through – like a cloud, perhaps – pear-drop shaped, and moved very fast." What was it? Elsewhere, UFOlogist Michael Swords discusses a cryptozoological matter, the Loch Ness Monster, in A Big "FISH" in a Small Pond.

Thylacine Sighting Still on the Track
Neil Arnold hears off a sighting that took place on January 17, 2005. The witness was 80 miles east of Melbourne, when an animal crossed the dirt track. "It was Golden retriever size, as clear as day, and I could see the set of impressive stripes down its back." Elsewhere, a Strange sighting of Normandy Nessie is described by a reader of the Tampa Bay Weekly and Maotherium Discovered in China.

Review: The Sasquatch Experience 10-8-09
This was a really terrific show, with Sean and I discussing for the first ten minutes some of the news of the Bigfoot world, then we went into our first show of our 50-state tour, discussing the sighting reports in Washington State. Then, we were joined by our guest Mike Frazee, who we discussed some of the more famous Washington cases with him, such as the Bossburg Cripplefoot cast, Paul Freeman and Mike's longtime association with Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin and a discussion on the Massacre nonsense. Giant Anaconda Hunt in Bolivia Still on the Track
Simon Reames interviewed locals and examined a small cave that anacondas are said to inhabit, but came up empty handed, probably thankfully so. Elsewhere, Nick Redfern tells us what happened at The Goat-Man Gig last weekend in Texas, and Loren Coleman reports that Adam Davies Is Recovering and puts out a call for the Top 100 Living Cryptozoologists. Surely, Adam Davies belongs on that list, but are there really even a hundred true cryptozoologists living today?
