Book Review: In The Footsteps of The Russian Snowman
Author: Dmitri Bayanov
This book, the first English-language manuscript to focus on the Russian research, is an excellent volume which gives its readers a real feel for the work that is being done in the former Soviet Union, and is replete with eyewitness accounts, personal correspondence, footprint finds, hair sample finds and other evidentiary endeavors. There are even some hominologists who have claimed sightings themselves, and have described them much as the witnesses have. The work of Igor Bourtsev is also profiled, as is the work of Marie-Jeanne Koffmann, two very important hominologists whose pioneering studies in Russia have been lauded by many individuals in the Bigfoot community. This book, like Bayanov's others, is truly a masterpiece, and I would go so far as to say all three books are handbooks to hominoid research. Once again, Dmitri has hit it out of the park. Review: Bigfoot Live 7-2-08
This was a pretty great show, with Marco Bill sitting in for Tom, who was on the road (actually, in the air), as well as TJ sitting in, along with JavaBob and Steve Kulls and Becky Sawyer reporting in. The recent Catskill Mountains expedition was discussed in full detail, as was the Fox News report which Tom was on where they basically just snickered, laughed and made fun of Tom and of Bigfooting in general. I called in and related to Becky about a flattened area of grass I saw in 1994 at my former home (she had related finding a flattened area of grass in the Catskill area). I also commented on the Fox News report, which TJ responded to in a very excellent fashion. A fellow named Ron also called in, as did Thomas to report on things in their areas. Hawks, Not Parrots, On the Attack Cyptomundo
There's been another weird animal incident in Massachusetts, and this one turned bloody. Cryptozoologists-in-training located in the Cape Cod area should keep an eagle eye (no pun intended) out for more unusual animal stories for the area. Elsewhere, a 42-year-old chimp is loose in a Southern California forest, and a sighting of him could lead to Bigfoot reports, some say, as reported in Chimp Loose in San Bernardino National Forest.

Both of these shows were great, worth listening to.
First, on the No-Kill Zone, Steve Abney and Janice's guest was Regina Niel, a witness/researcher from New Jersey, who had a very interesting encounter with a black Sasquatch in 1985 which was bent over on a road and slapped the road with its hand. A few folks called in, including myself and Bill Green who asked various questions, along with Thomas (Smiter), who also asked Regina some interesting questions. Regina was a wonderful guest, full of great information. The next show will be Friday afternoon, 5:30 EST/4:30 Central with guest Darin "Thunderhawk" Richardson, at The No-Kill Zone Radio Show
Then, on Squatch Detective Radio, Steve K, Billy and Becky had as their guests various members of the NESRA and PBS organizations, including Mike Killen, Kelly Beverly, Tom Lancaster and Eric Altman, who discussed the recent Pennsylvania expedition. There was a very humorous turn to the show when Kelly mentioned breast milk being used to attract a Sasquatch. BLACK BEAST OF EXMOOR
On the moors of England over 200 livestock were torn apart between 1979 and 1983. Armed Marines patrolled the hills looking for the predator but no creature was found. CHUPACABRA
In 1995, a beast dubbed "El Chupacabra," spanish for "The Goatsucker," was first sighted and accused of killing and draining the blood of hundreds of farm animals in Puerto Rico. Eyewitnesses describe it as a two-legged reptile-like beast with sharp claws and sharper fangs. But another rash of sightings, and killings, in Texas last year produced eyewitness descriptions of a creature that looked very different. MonsterQuest will go on the hunt for the Texas chupacabra. CHINA'S WILDMAN
A Wild-Man may roam the mountainous and forested regions of China's remote Hubei province. Witnesses typically report that the creature is covered in reddish-brown hair, five to seven feet tall, and walks on two legs. To the Chinese authorities, who recently collected over one hundred unidentified hairs, it is not a matter of if this creature will be found, but when. An expedition to the Far East will meet the Wild-Man experts and join an international team in a search for answers.

In 2006 an American soldier in Iraq was photographed with what appeared to be a three foot long arachnid. Meanwhile in the forests of Peru there are reports of spiders big enough to eat an entire chicken. A MonsterQuest expedition into the wilderness of South America goes on the hunt for a monster-sized predatory spider and examines man's fear of these creatures.
GIANT SQUID FOUND II
The Sea of Cortez holds a monster of gigantic proportions. Video evidence of what appeared to be a huge squid, 1000 feet under the ocean's surface, was captured in 2006 by a Monster Quest expedition team. The footage is less than 2 seconds long, and difficult to analyze, but some experts believed the squid was up to 100 feet long. Now, MonsterQuest returns to the area with improved technology to find proof of this legendary sea beast.
JAWS IN ILLINOIS
Are dangerous ocean predators prowling American rivers? Few people realize that the bull shark can tolerate fresh water, swimming hundreds of miles upstream from the ocean. History suggests it has at times penetrated up the Mississippi River as far as Illinois. The episode will examine the behavior of the bull shark and dive in the St. Lawrence Seaway to uncover another giant, the Greenland Shark. It can grow bigger than the Great White and has been known to head inland and eat land animals like caribou.

The huge Megalania lizard once stalked early man, but history says that the lizard is long extinct. But could massive and deadly reptiles be making a comeback? Something has been attacking a remote cabin in Northern and it may have left behind a blood trail. DNA analysis suggested that the creature is a non-human primate. Bigfoot in Catskills? Believers Say It's So Daily Freeman
Patty Williams of Catskill, NY, says she saw a Bigfoot adult with a juvenile Bigfoot near her pigpen four months ago. The two creatures entered her pigpen and ate the pigfeed there, but didn't harm her livestock. DVD Review: Strange Wilderness

This comedy stars Steve Zahn (Joy Ride, That Thing You Do! National Security) as Pete Gaulke, a wannabe wildlife TV Show host, host of a show called Strange Wilderness. The film begins with a look at bears and some screwed-up comedic elements. His crew consists of Fred (Allen Covert), Milas (90-year-old Ernest Borgnine), Junior (Justin Long, Live Free or Die Hard, The Sasquatch Gang, Apple Mac commercials), who is a pothead, and Cooker (Jonah Hill) and RV Driver Danny (Peter Dante). With the ratings on the show sinking fast and on the verge of cancellation, the team is approached by a fellow named Bill Calhoun (Joe Don Baker) who tells them of sightings of Bigfoot in Ecuador. They hire an "animal expert" named Bill Whitaker (who turns out to be a mechanic, played by Kevin Heffernan) along with a lovely assistant named Cheryl (Ashley Scott), and after one misadventure after another and bad luck all the way, they reach Ecuador and come across a fellow named Dick (Blake Clark) who guides them to a guide named Gus Hayden (Robert Patrick, Terminator 2: Judgment Day) who tells them a harrowing story about a scar in an interesting place. I will not reveal too much more, but suffice it to say the group does find Bigfoot and hilarity ensues. There is plenty of crude humor and nudity throughout the film, which required an "R" rating. I do recommend this, even if most will not get the humor.

Review: Beyond The Edge Radio 6-27-08
This was a great show, with guest Rosemary Ellen Guiley, the Queen of the Paranormal, who discussed her work on Paranormal subjects, such as Shadow People and EVPs (Electronic Voice Perception), which a few were played on the show and were very creepy. Several folks called in, including myself, who asked about the most unusual Ghost Case she had investigated, and also about whether there was a pattern in EVPs. Bill Green called in and asked about Mothman and also a bit about Bigfoot. Terrie Seech called in and asked about ghosts; Indy called in and asked about if Rosemary had investigated at a location called Malabar Farms and a fellow named Ernie called in and asked some ghost questions.
