Update...
My niece is doing fine. She only has a touch of Mono and is running a fever, but she was able to go home tonight, and my mother is on her way back home now. Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and well-wishes. I and my family deeply appreciate it.
Editorial: Whose Idea Was It To Go To The Bluff Creek Area Where "Patty" Was Filmed?
There has been quite a bit of controversy over which of the two men, Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin, go to the particular area where "Patty" was filmed, more particularly since the controversy centers around the question of it being a hoax. If it was Patterson's idea, and the film was a hoax, then he was leading Gimlin right into it. It has been suggested recently by Bob Heironimus, the man claiming to have been in the suit, as well as by Greg Long and Kal Korff, that both men were in on the alleged hoax along with Heironimus (but that is as hard to swallow as Heironimus' conflicting stories). Actually, as has been suggested by Mike Quast in his book Big Footage: A History of Claims For The Sasquatch on Film, as well as M.K. Davis, it was GIMLIN'S idea to go to that particular area, which according to many published reports in several of the books on Sasquatch, does correlate very well. It was Gimlin's suggestion that they go to that area, and, unless Gimlin had someone in a gorilla suit waiting in the wings (which to me is very unlikely), the film is real. If it was Gimlin's idea (and the evidence seems to suggest that this is the case) then there is no possible way that Heironimus could have been anywhere NEAR Bluff Creek on October 20, 1967. SO, to me, it is an open-and-shut case-the film is real, and Gimlin was the one who made the suggestion to go to that particular area, not Patterson.

Review: Squatch Detective Radio 4-21-08
This was a great show, with guest Joedy Cook, who discussed his research in Ohio, as well as his work with folks like Don Keating and George Clappison in the Buckeye State on investigating sightings. There was some trouble with the board, but Bill Green and I got on, and I asked Joedy about these carvings in a tree at Salt Fork State Park which represent what is called a "Wooly-Booger" and the photo and story is in Joedy's co-authored book Bigfoot Encounters In Ohio: Quest For The Grassman. Review: Beyond The Edge Radio 4-18-08
This was a great show, with guest author Don Zaidle, who wrote a book about animals that attack humans. He talked of many such examples of animal attacks on humans, and I called in and asked him about some of those, including where the fellow covered himself in doe in heat scent and had a deer attack him which was documented on video. Bill Green asked about a video of an attack on a woman by a bear on a Polish TV Show, but did not get to his Bigfoot question. Review: Bigfoot Live 4-16-08
This was a great show, which began with an interview with James "Bubba" Cromer who produced/wrote/directed The Long Way Home: A Bigfoot Story and he told of the behind the scenes happenings and the true stories behind some of the characters in that film. Then, a fellow named Ryan Logan who wrote a song about the Lee County, South Carolina Lizard Man and a sample of it was played. What was played sounded great. Then, Tom brought on TJ, JavaBob and Steve Kulls on to discuss recent activity in New Mexico. I called in along with Bill Green, and Bill talked a bit about the Bubba Cromer movie, and I discussed a bit about the bones of Dr. Grover Krantz and his Irish wolfhounds being in the Smithsonian. A couple of more callers got on and discussed some activity and other things. Cleveland Zoo Researchers Find Rare Turtle in Vietnam The Plain Dealer
A Vietnamese legend and the search for a rare turtle have come together in a village west of Hanoi, Vietnam. The Swinhoe's soft-shell turtle is so rare, only three were known to exist before researchers discovered the rare turtle living in a lake near Hanoi. If this rare species can be discovered living in the wild, is there hope for other extinct or nearly extinct animals to be discovered? Also, Elephantopotamus Discovered.
Big Cat Seen Prowling in Barongarook Geelong Advertiser
Tales of large felines prowling across Australia, where there are supposed to be no large native cats, continue to make waves. This time the culprit cat was spotted in Barongarook, an area where large cat sightings have been regularly made. Meanwhile, in Illinois, a state where the experts claimed native American cougars were extinct, a Chicago policeman had to put down a 150-pound specimen in a back alley.
