Review: The Sasquatch Triangle 3-6-08
This was an absolutely EXCELLENT show, with Dr. John Bindernagel, who discussed his research and his dilemma as a Wildlife Biologist in discussing the Sasquatch with his colleagues, his possible sighting and video footage (which he really could not get much into because it was actually part of a project of a group on the East Coast of the U.S.), his experiences with tracks and other topics. He also discussed his upcoming book (which has no title yet, but is expected in the late-Summer or Fall), and also how he feels about his first book North America's Great Ape: The Sasquatch (he feels very good about it). Don also announced towards the end of the show that he and several Ohio researchers finished filming today some scenes for an upcoming episode of Monsterquest, which will debut its second season sometime this Summer on the History Channel. Review: Destination Truth 3-5-08
This was a rather interesting show on the Yeti, which takes place in the Himalayas, with Josh Gates and his team doing an investigation of the area for the hairy hominoid. Josh and the team talk to a group of villagers about possible sightings, and are directed to the village elder, who claimed a recent encounter. Josh and the team investigate the area to search for evidence. They are using night-vision equipment and FLIR (Forward-Looking InfraRed) to search for possible evidence or even an encounter. They find a cave of some sort, with some large droppings, which are of unknown origin but could indicate a large animal of some sort. Josh crawls into the small cave to see if there could be anything in there, but only finds an old coat. The team is heading to Everest for a further search. The team finds out about possible Yeti remains in a temple, but are denied access to it by the monks. They do get to see the purported Yeti scalp in another temple or monastery, and they also find some strange footprints and hairs. They cast the tracks and head back to the U.S. and present the track cast to Dr. Jeff Meldrum, who is cautiously optimistic about the footprint but finds no evidence of fakery or explanations of it being from a known animal. All in all, a very interesting and compelling program. I would give it about 3 1/2 out of 5 stars.
'Panther' a Feral Pest Hawkesbury Gazette
A large black "cat-like" creature has been spotted several times in the Hawkesbury area of Australia causing some residents to fear for the safety of their children. "It's obious there's more than one of these creatures and they seem to be tracking along the creeks. If it's not a panther it's something that looks like a panther." Review: Let's Talk Bigfoot 3-5-08
This was a great show, with Illinois researcher Stan Courtney, who discussed such things as his vocal encounters with possible Sasquatches, his recording of different vocalizations, his research in Idaho and Illinois and other topics. He is doing something called 48 In '08 where he goes to different states to research, hoping to get to all 48 states all during 2008. I called in and asked Stan about the Rich Lamonica Ohio Talker tape, and he responded that he basically did not have anything to compare it to, so he was unsure on it. All in all, a great show. Decision...
Due to some extenuating circumstances which are or my own doing and not anyone else's, I have decided to stop listening live to Squatch Detective Radio on Monday nights. Steve and Billy are great, and are not to blame for any of this. I wish them well and hope that maybe one day we will reconcile things in person.

Mississippi Meeting This Saturday!!!!!!
The Second-Annual Mississippi Meeting is being held this Saturday near D'Lo, Mississippi at the Water Park, 45 minutes south of Jackson. Admission is free, except for a covered dish for dinner at around Noon. The key speaker of the event is Mr. M.K. Davis, who will give a presentation on the Patterson/Gimlin Movie. There will also be a guided tour of an area nearby where activity has taken place. Editorial: What Did YOU Get Into Bigfoot Research For?
The question in the title of this post applies to ALL of us who research hairy bipeds. There have been rumors and hearsay and allegation floating around about a certain individual within the Bigfoot Community (I do not think I have to tell any of you who that is), which is nothing new because this seems to have become a prevalent thing within this community for years, but moreso since the advent of the Internet, and people have taken sides in these debates and have sided with one party or another. My question is, why is there so much rumor-mongering and conflict within this community to begin with? Is this what we got into this line of inquiry for, to go on forums and into chatrooms and on blogs and gossip about so-and-so and about what they do in their personal lives and talk about so-and-so, or did we get into this to research large, hairy bipeds? And I want people to know, I have taken part in some of this activity myself, I am not innocent of such things, and I regret those things. I am trying to be more positive in my own research and not focus on the negative, and I am attempting to stay away from controversy and gossiping about people. I am trying to focus myself and my research on the positive things and less on the gossip and BS. My point is, does gossiping about people and trashing them on forums and blogs and chatrooms further the study of large hairy bipeds, or is it just drama and Soap Opera BS? I say it is the latter. If I want Soap Opera, I will watch Days Of Our Lives. This is the last thing I will say about all this, because I do not want to be dragged in the middle of any BS or drama. This blog, from now on, will be focused on positive things and good research, whether it is with Bigfoot or Cryptozoology in general. I want to thank all those who have supported me and my blog and my new show, and I hope you will continue to do so, and let's be in this to research BIGFOOT, not someone's personal life. Thank you.

This was a great show, with guest founder of the Center For Bigfoot Studies Daniel Perez, who talked a little about Rene Dahinden, as well as his research into the Bigfoot phenomenon. Bill and I called in (and had a bit of a tiff on the air) and I asked about Kal Korff's remarks and also the size of the newest tracks Daniel found yesterday and posted a photo of on his blog. He also launched into a tirade against Kal and basically said he was full of it. Bill got to ask about sightings in California and other things. Randy Harrington also called in and asked some questions, and Steve and Billy asked him about his research and his most intriguing case and other questions.
