This was a pretty good show, 90 minutes in length, with guests Doug Bilby and Randy (DriverOperator on the Mid-America Bigfoot Forums) who discussed some of the ongoing alleged activity on Doug's land, as well as photos taken on the property and sound recordings of alleged Sasquatch. There were several questions from the full chat, as well as at least one phone call. Mike Killen took over hosting duties, and Bob Coyne sat in the co-host's chair for this one. It was a pretty good show, full of great information. Review: Bigfoot Central 1-8-08

This was a fair-to-good show, not really great, discussing the old chestnut of the Patterson/Gimlin Movie and some possible findings on it regarding alleged blood on "Patty" and in a body of water which indicates possible (notice I said POSSIBLE) slaughtering of an animal by "Patty" in the water, and the animations can be found at http://www.artistfirst.com/bigfoot2008.html You can download the archive of tonight's show as well as view the animations in question. My personal preference on this would be less P/G Movie discussion and more guests and more diverse topics within the research of Bigfoot, because there is only SO much that can be gleaned from this film, and I would prefer discussions of more tangible subjects than a 40-year-old piece of film. Review: Squatch Detective Radio 1-7-08

This was a pretty great show, with guests Darrin Lee and Randy from Mid-America Bigfoot, who discussed some of their different research techniques as well as fieldwork and reports. I called in and asked about what kind of cameras they used and if they used thermal imager cameras (they don't have any of those). A few other people called in as well as and asked questions, including Mike Killen, and it turned out to be a pretty great show. I enjoyed it. Next week Billy and Steve will host a family from Texas who have a habituation situation going on in their area. By the way, the chat had a record 49 listeners in it tonight!!! Review: The Sasquatch Experience 1-6-08

This was a TREMENDOUS show, with guest Canadian author and investigator Thomas Steenburg, who discussed such things as the 1988 Crandall Campground incident, the 1969 Big Horn Dam incident in which a 15-foot-tall creature was seen on top of a ridge, Steenburg's own possible sighting in 2003, his footprint investigations, his near-fatal accident in which he nearly went over a cliff in his Land Rover, the relationship between himself and Barbara Wasson (and also the alleged romantic relationship between Wasson and Rene Dahinden) and other topics. Eric Altman called in and talked to Thomas and told of he and Thomas' meeting at Don Keating's conference a few years ago. It was a GREAT 90-minute show, full of great information. This was a pretty great show, with guest Steve "Indy" Pickett, who discussed some recent tragedy in his life, as well as he and his wife Robin's encounters and research in Indiana and now in Ohio. Many questions came from the chat from several folks, including Bill Green and Eric Altman. A couple of calls, including from me, came in, and I told of a photo which was taken in the early-20th Century of an alleged captured wildman which turned out to be from a movie made back then, as well as discussing the De Loys Ape photo. It was a great show, full of great information. Book Review: Hauntings and Poltergeists: A Ghost Hunter's Guide by Lloyd Auerbach

This book examines spirits and hauntings from a rather different perspective. The author tells the reader that not every ghost report is true, or is an extension of human frustration and stress, or is a result of psychic projection or sometimes hallucination; there is also the possibility that living people can be experiencing manifestations of themselves as part of a self-conscious projection. Hauntings can also be part of psychokinesis. Dr. Auerbach also examines some of his most unusual cases, such as "The Sexorcist," The Case of Lois and Two Poltergeists, and also goes into detail about how the reader can develop his or her own psychic abilities and psychokinesis, as well as some of the Do's and Don't's of ghost-hunting, with some really excellent tips. He also cautions the reader to make sure he/she checks into ALL possibilities before declaring an absolute haunting is occurring, and says that in a good majority of cases, there is usually a very logical explanation. All in all, this book really gives the reader a sense of how to be more discerning when reporting a possible haunting, and also if the reader decides to hunt ghosts to make sure that the reader assesses all possibilities before declaring a home or place of business haunted. I would give this book about 4 1/2 out of 5 stars.

This was a pretty great show, with Jeff Wamsley of Point Pleasant, West Virginia, a researcher into local hometown monster the Mothman, who discussed the phenomenon in his hometown, as well as his impressions on it and local eyewitness reports. He also discussed the Silver Bridge collapse of December 15, 1967, which killed 46 people, as well as the film based on the John Keel novel, The Mothman Prophecies.
