The search for Big Foot is on in Coffee County

Review: Monsterquest 12-5-07

This was a rather interesting episode, about mutant canines which have been killing family pets and other animals, which may be timber wolves, possibly, in Minnesota. The famous Turner Beast case is examined, with Loren Coleman giving his expertise on it, in his home state of Maine. The Turner Road Beast remains are in a garage, but some of its remains have been sent to NYU for further analysis. Reports of these strange beasts go back many hundreds of years. A local newspaper writer for the Lewiston Sun-Journal in Maine, Mark LaFlamme is also interviewed about his impressions on these mystery beasts. It is speculated that hybridization of dogs and wolves is responsible possibly for the sightings of strange beasts such as the Turner Beast. The Wolverine is also speculated to be possibly a candidate for the mystery beast. Several witnesses are interviewed about their sightings and also their finding of their family pets dying from unknown wounds. In Minnesota, a wildlife expert, Craig Enervold is doing an investigation on the mystery beast in the Gopher State, setting out camera traps to see if there is something worth capturing on them regarding a mystery beast. The mangy coyote or dog theory is also examined as a possibility for mystery dog/wolf beasts. It was a fair and even-handed episode, and Monsterquest continues to be very well-done and well-researched for the most part. Next week examines Lions In The Suburbs, at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central on the History Channel. Again, check your local listings for time and channel.

2007 marks the 40th anniversary of the famous Patterson-Gimlin film
made in northern California. This film features a female Bigfoot
striding next to a sandy creek. Scientists world-wide have studied
this film and remain divided upon its authenticity, however the
filmmakers Bob Gimlin and the late Roger Patterson have stood by
their photographic evidence. Expedition partner and outfitter Bob
Gimlin will join us for an audience discussion about his experience
on the Bluff Creek expedition and the famous encounter on the trail,
made immortal in the 24 feet of film images Patterson recorded.

Longtime Bigfoot field researcher Richard Noll is well-known for the
Skookum cast he made near Mt. St. Helens in 2000. The cast is a
reproduction of a massive impression or Bigfoot body print. Mr. Noll,
a featured expert on the History Channel's Monster Quest and other
programs, will speak about the Skookum cast and about his research on
Bigfoot.

A very brief television report of the trip by Searching for Bigfoot's team to Chancellor, AL, where two ranchers had reported something unusually powerful was killing their cattle. The team's brief cell phone reports and some photos can be found at the Searching for Bigfoot site. If indications of a Bigfoot presence were so strong, why did the Searching for Bigfoot team leave Chancellor, AL?

Monsterquest Tonight...

Mutant Canines - Mans best friend is many times our last line of defense. But something strange is killing Fido. In 2006, a rash of pets were killed in Maine and Minnesota by a beast locals describe as a mutant. But there are more than just stories, a creature was hit by a car and the body was found. This strange looking creature will be DNA tested to see what it really is. And two MonsterQuest winter expeditions will be launched to trap other dog killers still at large.

Review: Paranormal Talk Presents Monster Gallery with Annette 12-04-07

This was a wonderful and informal show, with Melissa Hovey, Monica Rawlins and Kathy Strain, who discussed the circumstances surrounding their recent Monsterquest episode, including their death march into Skookum Meadows, the weather they experienced (which was very rainy all 7 days), their different research techniques, the troubles with the cameraman and other subjects. I also called in and extended an invitation to Melissa and Monica to be on the Sasquatch Experience this Sunday, but I left out Kathy and got on her "sh*t-list," LOL Many questions were fielded from the chat, and a lady named Yve who has a show on Blog Talk Radio called in and described a Sasquatch sighting she and her husband had a few years ago. It was a great show, and Annette is a great host.

Review: Bigfoot Quest 12-04-07

This was a pretty great episode, with Bob and guest co-host Billy Willard talking to David Shealy, who fielded questions from the chat as well as from myself when I called in to ask about the situation in extreme Northeastern Florida in Glen St. Mary. Diane Stocking also called in and asked David what was new in his area. It was a rather enjoyable show despite the controversial nature of the guest, and well-worth listening to. Bob does a great job, and really knows how to ask the right questions. His next show is next Tuesday and every Tuesday, at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at the link to the right. As always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

    Review: Let's Talk Bigfoot! 12-2-07

This was a wonderful show, with Melissa hosting Tracy Herigstad, Kathy Strain and Monica Rawlins in a discussion of the recent Monsterquest episode they took part in which was aired nearly a week ago. They discussed theu adventures in the area in which they experienced rock-throwing, falling into a creek, their death-march into Skookum Meadows, their meeting with a group of male researchers (Jerry Reidel, Brian Brown and John Witherspoon), their sightings of elk and other subjects which were covered on the Doug Hajicek-produced show aired on the History Channel last week. It was a great show, and the ladies were very natural and comfortable with each other like old friends sitting around a table talking. The next program will feature TBRC member Daryl Colyer tomorrow night at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central at the link to the right. As always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

This was a great show, with Steve calling in from the road and Billy handling things from the studio. I called in, as well as Don Keating and a gentleman from the 518 area code. Mike Killen also called in and stayed on for most of the hour, as did I. The main topics were things such as Steve's expeditions, the recent Monsterquest episodes (which I discussed) as well as what would be a good forensics kit to take in the field. It was a great and wonderful show, full of great info. Steve will be checking in again from the road next Monday at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at the link to the right. An absolute triumph!!!!!!

If you love blues like I do, you will absolutely LOVE this independently-produced CD, full of some the best original Blues tracks I have ever heard. Song titles range from The Claw to Black Horse Ride to A Dream OF You to Song of The Scarecrow. There is a cover version (two of them, actually) of an old gospel song, Titled variously In The Garden of Gethsemane Part 1 and Part 2. Shane Speal plays an eclectic variety of instruments, from a 3-string cigar box guitar with spark plug slide to a mailbox dobro to cigar box kalimba to turbo-Diddly cigar-box guitar to electric six-string cigar box guitar. This album is highly recommended and full information can be found at Welcome to cigarboxguitar.com... Official site of Shane Spealnew window I give this album 5 VERY enthusiastic stars!!!!!! Review: Let's Talk Bigfoot 11-28-07

This show featured AIBR member Pete Aniello, and was a good one. He works for the Environmental Systems Research Institute, GIS (Geographic Information Systems) software company in Southern California. He is a former BFRO member as well. His interest in Bigfoot was piqued by John Napier's book Bigfoot: The Yeti and Sasquatch In Myth and Reality, and he found the BFRO website in 2002. He began plotting out maps and putting them into a GIS database for locations of sightings, as well. He recently spoke at the Texas Bigfoot Conference about geo-spatial patterns as they relate to Sasquatch sightings. He bases this on latitude, longitude and elevation. The ideas Pete has are very scientific and I think very helpful to this field. A job well-done by Melissa. This was a wonderful show, with guest Craig Hines, whose areas of expertise are Fallen Angels, EVP and missing Biblical history. He fielded questions about EVP's and ghosts, as well as a question I called in about the recent body discovered in a tomb which had Jesus written in Aramaic on the box the remains were found in. Eric and Sean will interview Craig Hines. Here is a brief bio on him:

Author PhotoCraig Hines is a multimedia artist with nearly two decades of experience in the fields of computer graphics, video production, and website design. His interest in computers began at an early age, and has only been rivaled by his fascination with ancient civilizations, paranormal phenomena, science, and technology. His focused research on what would later become Gateway of the Gods began in 1999, and continues through today. Hines believes that his training in multimedia, coupled with his knowledge of the paranormal, has given him a unique point of view, whereby he examines how to make the fantastic real and accessible.

Hines hopes that his research breathes fresh perspective into the field, and that his methods garner the mainstream respect that has eluded other authors. He encourages discussion of the facts, not agendas, both within the scientific and historical communities, and in the population at large. “Finding the truth of the world around us,” Hines states, “will depend upon our ability to be honest and open to fantastic possibilities, yet discerning enough to not blindly accept the fantastic as the only plausible explanation.”

In addition to his writing, Hines is also the force behind Dark Imaginings™, a website offering his macabre, and quite often morbidly humorous, "haunted" artwork. Another project in development includes the Janus Seminars™, a web-based digital classroom designed to bring together the best research and minds of the paranormal, scientific, historical, and theological communities to worldwide audiences.
