Dale Drinnon tries to sort out the confusions over the February 1960 sighting by Torquil MacLeod, in which the creature was seen partially ashore but with its tail end trailing off in the water. He concludes that the problem stems from the account that appears in Roy Mackal's The Monsters of Loch Ness. Says Drinnon: "Mackal has misrepreseneted the entire account and all authors following after him and quoting him are using a badly distorted version of the story." Drinnon then takes a second look at The Giant Salamander Theory at Loch Ness, as well as The Daedalus Sea-Serpent, 1848, And the Start of Perceptions of Sea-Serpents as Plesiosaur-Shaped.
