Review: The XZone 12-28-07
This was a short 15-minute segment with myself and Rob discussing some of the big events in Bigfoot 2007, such as the Jacobs photos, the 40th Anniversary of the P/G Movie and the DNA found on the Monsterquest episode. Bill called in and said that his New Years' Resolution was to see more stories on Bigfoot and see Rob discuss Bigfoot more on the XZone (which doesn't sound like a resolution, but anyway). It was a pretty good segment, though, and also a fellow named George called in and asked if I had seen other things like little people in the woods. I responded no. Anyway, pretty good segment.

Review: Beyond The Edge Radio 12-28-07
This was a wonderful show, with returning guest Bill Bean, who delved more into his own personal story and also talked about how the power of God can have a positive influence on a life. Bill also provided some eerie photos taken over the years, including some more recent photos, which are posted at http://www.beyondtheedgeradio.com I called in, along with Bill Green, and we asked some great questions and were awarded Ramen Noodles (LOL, a little jab at me for the Ramen Noodle incident I had back in October). Bill asked his usual questions about ghost and Bigfoot and UFO sightings, and I asked if Bill had had any psychic or psi feelings in his encounters. Kathy Altman, Eric's wife also called in, and so did a lady named Angela who provided some ghost photos to Eric and Sean. It was a wonderful show, and I enjoyed it. Next week (and beginning next year), Beyond The Edge Radio examines the Mothman with investigator Jeff Wamsley, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at the link to the right. What is my position on Kal Korff and Bob Gimlin?
Kal is a friend, but so is Bob Gimlin. There have been allegations from Kal Korff recently which have seemingly put Gimlin in a bad light, regarding the allegation that Gimlin chased Korff and Martina Tycova for being filmed talking to a woman. It is alleged that Gimlin is a ladies' man and that he allegedly chased Korff and Martina because he did not like being filmed talking to a lady who was not his wife. Of course the lady in question COULD have been a female relative of his, as well. It has also been alleged that some of Gimlin's buddies allegedly say that Gimlin knows the P/G Movie is a hoax that Gimlin helped fake. It is also alleged that Judy Gimlin, Bob's wife, would divorce Bob if he were to reveal his part in an alleged hoax, and that Judy does not want this to happen because she is the former President of a bank in Yakima and it would be a blow to her reputation if the film were proved to be a hoax. What do I think of all this? Well, it is certainly mind-boggling for sure, but is it true? I do not know. All of this will apparently be revealed in a documentary which will be released next Spring produced by Martina Tycova. Just to play Devil's Advocate here, documentaries can be doctored, video can be edited to make one position look stronger than the other, and opinion can be skewed. Am I accusing Korff and Tycova of doing this? Not necessarily, but I suppose we will see when this is released next Spring. I will continue to stick by Gimlin until this documentary is released and I will see for myself what is revealed. At the same time, Kal and I will work together to see about bringing closure to this issue one way or the other, no matter the outcome. SO, I hope this explains my position.

Claims, Claims, Claims To everyone's pleasant surprise, the new Bigfoot documentary, although it proves that the Patterson-Gimlin film is indeed a hoax, does examine ALL sides of the controversy. Recounted on camera are amazing personal details either unknown or deliberately withheld by Bigfoot "believers" who still stand by the film, no matter what. Moreover, for the first time ever, acquaintances of Bob Gimlin, who have NEVER spoken out before on camera, testify that the film is a hoax and that Bob Gimlin helped fake it. This footage was filmed secretly in Yakima, Washington, in the SAME bar and tavern where Gimlin used to drink and brag about his exploits (especially concerning women) after he faked the "Bigfoot" film with his "buddy" Roger Patterson. These eyewitnesses, all acquaintances and friends of Bob Gimlin, make no "bones" about it — not only do they claim that the "Bigfoot" film is a hoax and Gimlin helped fake it, many of them also say that Gimlin won't ever admit the truth because his wife Judy will divorce him if he does. Judy Gimlin is the former President of a bank in the small "cowboy town" of Yakima, Washington, where Kal Korff transferred the operational funds through to bankroll the undercover operation which exposes Gimlin. Review: Let's Talk Bigfoot 12-26-07
This was a wonderful interview with Michael Rugg, curator of the Bigfoot Discovery Museum and founder of the Bigfoot Discovery Project. He recounts his sighting encounter at age 5 when he saw something which seemed to be wearing an ill-fitting shirt, a large hairy man. He also recounts that 150 people have told him of their encounters. Melissa asks him about his assessment of whether the Bigfoot is human or ape, and he tells her his opinion changes on that from week to week. Mike was also asked if he gets out in the field, and he responded he does, and also mentioned about his mother moving in with him and passing away, after she had moved in with him and he became her caretaker. He is asked about the inception of the Bigfoot Discovery Project, which kind of came along with the advent of the Internet. Mike had decided since it had been 50 years and no one had discovered Bigfoot yet, he decided to try his hand at it a few years ago. Mike also wants to expand his website and the museum he is the curator of. He mentions his extensive exhibit on the Patterson/Gimlin Movie as well and his contact with Bob Gimlin, and also an artistic representation he is doing of the "Moment of Discovery" referring to the film. A caller, Ralph, calls in and mentions he had heard a report of tracks 6 feet apart in stride which he went to personally investigate. There were also big cat tracks in that area. Mike had investigated the same area a year or so before and there were dead chickens and other livestock found in the area, ripped apart, and the chicken's feathers were also plucked. The area in question is in a quarry as well. Another caller comes in, and it is Tom Yamarone, who calls in to tell of some of the stories he has investigated, some with Mike, in the Santa Cruz Mountains. It was a truly wonderful and informative show, and very well-done by Melissa. Review: Monster Quest 12-26-07
This was a rather intriguing episode, about the Florida Skunk Ape, with witness Dan Jackson recounting a sighting he had in 1983 in Collier County. Crystal LeMaster, a primate expert, is interviewed about her impressions of the Myakka Photos, and she does not believe they are of an orangutan. Dr. Gregory Bambenek (also known as "Dr. Juice") is profiled on expedition in Louisiana where pheremone chips are scattered over the area to attempt to attract a Swamp Ape. He is joined by Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy member Scott Kessler. Several Native Americans in Florida are interviewed about their assessments of the Swamp Ape Legend, as well, as well as at least one wildlife official. A firefighter is interviewed in anonymity after taking a report in 2000 of apparently a witness hitting a strange animal in Trout, Louisiana, possibly a Swamp Ape. Bloodhounds are brought in to track down the creature in this story but were never able to see it or get close enough to it to determine what it was. Another team in the Louisiana Swamps sets out camera traps. The area Bambenek and his team are exploring has had a recent report in 2006. 16 tracks were found on that day of some unusual creature. Kerry Foster of the Shreveport Fire Department brings out the bloodhounds to search for the Swamp Ape as well. The bloodhounds are primed by Ape pheremones. Peggy Callahan, a wildlife expert, is a bit skeptical of why no Swamp Ape bodies have been found or remains. She and photographer Jim Tittle do a test on a dead deer to see what the effects of nature can be on it. The camera will snap a photo every ten minutes for seven days. Scott Kessler claims a Swamp Ape sighting near Trout, Louisiana in 1977 when he was 7. He saw it out the window of his tent while he and his family were camping. Scott saw two of them that night. Robert Carr, Florida Archaeologist, is also interviewed about his assessments of feral ape populations in the Sunshine State. An eyewitness in the Big Cypress Preserve had a Skunk Ape sighting in 2005. An encounter from 1829 from Florida is also recounted of loud bellowing screams. This group of hunters in 1829 is attacked by some sort of creature which kills one of the members, but the creature, 13 feet tall, is killed and the party does not bother to collect a piece of the body. The Myakka photo is examined by LeMaster and she questions the authenticity of the photo and believes based on her observation that it is not of a real animal. It was a pretty good episode of Monster Quest, very enjoyable. Next week examines Stalin's Ape-Men, beginning at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central on the History Channel. An exploration of the Giganto (King Kong) legend using modern science, technology, and historic eyewitness accounts. Gigantopithecus (the Latin term for "Giant Ape") is believed to have existed 9 to 5-million years ago and supposedly was around 10-feet tall. Editorial: Have I "Sold Out" To Kal Korff?
In recent months, I have started cooperating with and working with Kal K. Korff, who is a paranormal investigator best known to Bigfooters as a "debunker" of the Patterson/Gimlin Movie, and I have not received any negative press from this from either side. Now, does this mean I agree with Kal about the P/G Movie? Does this mean I have "sold out" to the "enemy?" I do not believe so. Yes, I think what Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin captured on film that October day 40 years ago is a real Sasquatch, and yes, I disagree with Kal going after a 77-year-old retiree with a heart condition, but I want to be as cooperative with Kal as possible to try to seek and find answers on this mystery, no matter the outcome. If indeed Kal and his associate the lovely Martina Tycova finally do prove that Bob Heironimus wore a modified suit and walked in front of Patterson's camera that day, then that means that all Bigfooters, myself included, will have to eat our words as far as defending the film and giving it credibility, and it will be a blow to this community. However, it will not stop ME personally from seeking answers in this mystery, and it should not stop anyone else either, if the film is proven a hoax. I am secure enough in my own experience with the Sasquatch to know that whether or not the film shows a real creature or not does not mean there is no real creature out there. I am 90% convinced the film shows a real creature, but it will not break my heart if it is proven a hoax because I have had at least one sighting that I can absolutely say was the real deal. So, I want to say that I call Kal a friend and colleague even if we agree to disagree over this film.

DVD Review: The Die Hard Collection
This box set brings us three of the best action films ever made-Die Hard which introduces us to John McClane (Bruce Willis), saving the Nakatomi Plaza building in Los Angeles from German terrorist Hans Gruber (played deliciously evilly by Alan Rickman). The late Paul Gleason, Bonnie Bedelia, Reginald VelJohnson and a pre-Walker Texas Ranger Clarence Gilyard Jr. co-star. Moving on to Die Hard 2: Die Harder, we find McClane in Washington at the airport fighting terrorist William Sadler and clashing with future NYPD Blue star Dennis Franz and future Presidential candidate Fred Thompson. Pre-Terminator 2 co-star Robert Patrick and John Amos (Good Times, Coming To America) also co-star. Die Hard With A Vengeance finds McClane back on home turf in New York City, hooking up with Samuel L. Jackson as Zeus and battling Oscar Winner Jeremy Irons as Simon Gruber, Hans Gruber's brother from the first film. All three films are HIGHLY recommended and a true thrill ride. 5 out of 5 stars for this great DVD set.
DVD Review: Live Free Or Die Hard: Unrated
This film once again brings us Bruce Willis as Lieutenant John McClane, who gets involved in investigating cyber-terrorism and a young hacker named Matthew Farrell (Justin Long) and cyber-terrorist Timothy Gabriel (played by Timothy Olyphant). At the start of the film, McClane is having some estrangement problems with his daughter Lucy (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) who prefers to use her mother's maiden name of Gennaro instead of her given name. At the start of the film, 7 computer hackers are murdered when they hit delete on their keyboards, which sets off explosives. McClane is asked to escort Matthew to Washington, D.C. to the FBI's Washington Headquarters. Apparently, Farrell has unwittingly helped Gabriel, and Gabriel has his henchmen attempt to kill McClane and Farrell, but they fail. McClane and Farrell make it to D.C., but are immediately under attack from Gabriel, whose hackers control the traffic signals and cause chaos. They also hack into other systems and make it seem like there is an anthrax attack. All this occurs on the Fourth of July. Action abounds in this one, basically non-stop. The main hacker for Gabriel is Mah Lin (Maggie Q). After a series of narrow escapes, on Farrell's advice, he and McClane find the Warlock a master hacker, Farrell's contact, portrayed by filmmaker Kevin Smith. The action in this movie is VERY solid and absolutely thrilling. I will not reveal too much more, but it is an absolute thrill-ride that doesn't let go. A VERY worthy sequel, but make sure you get the Unrated DVD. 4 3/4 stars for this one.

Sad News on this Christmas Day...
I am sorry to inform all that Anthropologist Daris Swindler 82 died of cancer in Spokane Wa., on Dec. 6th. What a great loss to Sesqecology at this crucial time. I was hoping to tap his expertise to identify anatomical specimens I have collected such as these.(yes that is a non-opposable thumb ala Krantz supposition 1971) A huge loss for anatomical analysis and understanding of this elusive species.

i just finished watching the legend of the honey island swamp monster documentary dvd. it was very wonderful done alot eyewittnesses testimonys etc evidence etc. the reactments of encounters with creature were great indeed. dana holyfield did a very wonderful job on this new documentary. there is even a POSSIBLE filmfootage of the honey island swamp monster in this documentary which is very interesting. this new documentary dvd is available on amazon.com just me it realy worth it for any bigfoot/sasquatch dvd library. i give this new documentary
