A harrowing tale of near drowning of a father of two from Brunei leaves him both grateful and perplexed after he was told he was missing for over five hours. Crediting a young man with helping him break free from the intense currents pulling him deeper as he struggled to maintain consciousness, the saviour would also find himself having trouble getting free of the waters deadly pull. The two were just barely able to break free and swim to shore only to be met by frantic family and beach-goers on the shore. Yet it was sometime later that his wife explained what she had witnessed, as well as how long he was missing, that surprised them both. Claiming it felt like hands pulling him down as he tried to reach the surface, he unrolled his bandages to cuts he received during the ordeal to reveal a most shocking surprise. Oil Spill May Threaten Gulf Sea Serpents Monsters are Real!
The massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico threatens corals, sponges, crustaceans, fish, birds and countless other life forms. And if history is any indicator, notes Ken Gerhard, "an extraordinary animal swimming deep, within those waters" may also be threatened. Specifically, the great Sea Serpent, that monstrous, snake-like beast that has been described by sailors for centuries. A few -- admittedly old -- reports from the Gulf are mentioned.
