Leading off a pair of odd animal stories today: Conjoined birds are such a rarity no odds have ever been calculated for such a thing. But scientists at the Smithsonian Institution will soon be studying a pair of barn swallow fledglings found in Arkansas. Meanwhile, scientists are making the claim that evolution has led from piscatorial elocution to the elegant vocalizations of mankind, as explained in Human Speech Traced to Talking Fish.

Cryptozoologist, author and lecturer Loren Coleman is in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to lecture tomorrow at the Royal Alberta Museum. That calls for revisiting the 2005 case in which Bigfoot sightings in the Yukon were followed by discovery of some "Sasquatch hair" that would be submitted for analysis. What were the end results? With photos. Elsewhere, Coleman notes the boxoffice smash The Dark Knight, examining some actual reports of batlike humanoid figures in The Real Batman, and revisits that Colorado felid hunt in Was It an African Lion?

Review: Beyond The Edge Radio 7-18-08

This was a great show, with guest George Knapp, who has investigated Area 51 and also the famous Skinwalker Ranch in Utah, which has some strange occurrences going on, such as UFOs, Bigfoot, Dogmen, Ghostly phenomenon and something called the Skinwalker, a spiritual figure which seems to be a witch or wizard-type entity. I called in to ask about the Bipedal Dogmen, as well as what the Skinwalker was and what the distance was from Area 51 to the Ranch. Scott Hackenslash started out the show with a great review of The Dark Knight as well as news on his new job at a comic book and hobby shop. Dunno what is up for next week, but it starts at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at Beyond The Edge Radio, Friday Nights at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central You can also download past episodes there, as well as subscribe via iTunes. The boasts continue from Bigfoot Tracker, a Georgia orgnization bent on proving the existence of the large hairy hominoid. Would Bigfoot Tracker be making such extravagant claims if they had nothing to backup what they say? Meanwhile, there seems to be proof of a large melanistic felid prowling around in Galena, KS, as seen in New Black Panther Video.

Review: The Sasquatch Triangle 7-17-08

This was a pretty terrific show, with guest Steve "Indy" Pickett, who discussed his upcoming Squatch Fest event this weekend, as well as his research and organization and also his sightings and encounters with different pieces of evidence he has come across, such as a twisted turtle shell. I called in and wished Indy luck on the event this weekend, as well as plugging his Gettysburg battlefield photos. He also discussed some other things and aspects of his sightings. He also fielded questions from the chatroom as well. Next Thursday, Don will have the Foot-Trackers themselves, Terry and Treba Jahn, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at The Sasquatch Triangle, Now On NowLive.com

Bewitching the Sceptics The West Australian
A new psychic versus psychic contest on Australia's Channel 7 needed some judges with paranormal ability to judge the entrants. So Stacey Demarco from Sydney was chosen as one of the judges because of her psychic ability...and perhaps her blonde good looks. Will Demarco, her fellow psychic-oriented judges, and the contestants be able to convert skeptic Saunders?

Review: Bigfoot Live 7-16-08

This was a pretty terrific show, the 100th episode, with guests such as Ed Farrell, an author from Alaska who wrote a new book called Strange Stories of Alaska and the Yukon, who talked about his new book; Mike Riter, an individual who discussed some activity in the Catskills; Bob Kaehler, a Fish and Game Guide who discussed a theory about how to capture the Forest Giants, Roy Sandefeur, who told a most extraordinary story about an encounter with a Forest Giant which made a good deal of racket in the woods, as well as frightened him; the SFBI team, who called in to report some very interesting activity they had in different states, including East Tennessee and Alabama and finally, Janice Carter and myself, to discuss my experiences in East Tennessee and also in Ohio. Dunno what is planned for next week, but it should be most interesting, beginning at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central at http___www.gstreaming.com_bigfootlive.html

You can download past episodes there, as well as subscribe through Blog Talk Radio via iTunes. And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.
At auction giant eBay you can join in the bidding for the services of a self described big game hunter to track down Bigfoot or Yeti. The bidding starts at $150K. Is this a new venture into the big game hunting realm? Speaking of big game, the African lion is considered one of big game hunting's top prizes, but in El Paso County, CO, the hunt hasn't been successful, as reported in Daylong Search Yields Plenty of Spectacle, But No African Lion. Meanwhile, as though the pursuit of "real" cryptids were not enough of an adventure, at forgetomori the point is being made that even stranger creatures can be conjured up, as seen, with many photos, in Imaginary Animals - Alexandre Jorge.
David Paulides spent twenty years as a private investigator in Santa Clara County, CA. Then, four years ago, Paulides decided to combine his investigative abilities with his love of the outdoors by searching for Bigfoot. Paulides' decision led to the formation of North American Bigfoot Search and the forthcoming book The Hoopa Project: Bigfoot Encounters in California. By focusing on the Hoopa Indian Reservation, have Paulides and North American Bigfoot Search turned a corner in the search for Sasquatch?

Darren Naish is heard from again in today's Cryptomundo posting that follows up the question posed there yesterday by artistic recreation expert Bill Munns, who thinks it possible some giant dinosaurs sported trunks. Naish isn't of like mind, as explained in No Trunks, Says Paleontologist. With illustrations and photos. Following yesterday's report of a Maned Lion Spotted in Colorado, there's more from the scene in Dog or Lion? Beast Loose in El Paso County. Reviews: The No-Kill Zone and Squatch Detective Radio 7-7-08

The No-Kill Zone was pretty great, with guest Dallas Gilbert, who discussed his research in his different areas, as well as his photographic evidence and also his psychic links to the Forest Giants. Myself and Bill Green called in and asked Dallas various questions. Dallas answered all questions terrifically. Connie also called in just to give her stamp of approval to the show. Next Tuesday, at 6:00 EST/5:00 Central will be the next show, and Dallas might be making a return appearance, located at The No-Kill Zone Radio Show

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Then, over on Squatch Detective Radio, you had guest Jaime Avalos from Mammoth Lakes, California, who discussed some very fascinating evidence he has found in the area, as well as his sighting in June 2006 in the same area. He took many questions from the chat, as well as calls from Richie from California, myself and Bill Green (I asked him about the area he lived in, and also whether he had found any remains of fish eaten by the Forest Giants, which he said he had not), and Bill asked him about whether he had heard of any new sightings or footprint discoveries in California. Jaime fielded several questions from the chat, and did a great job. Next week, Steve, Becky and Billy welcome John Cartwright, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at Squatch Detective Radio, Monday nights at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central

Reviews: HBM's Crypto-Corner and The Bigfoot Mystery 7-13-08

HBM's Crypto-Corner was great, with our guest Janice Carter, who commented on the recent expedition the Searching For Bigfoot Team and the things they had happen in their time with Janice, as well as Thomas calling in and reporting some activity he and Rayduce came across just today where they got an audio recording of a possible juvenile saying "Momma!" I also got into the topic of telepathy of the Forest Giants with Jan, who described her experience with that, as did I, and Steve Abney also helped us out with that (thanks, Steve). Bill asked some pretty great questions too. The next show will air Sunday, July 27th, and I am working on getting a very special guest, who I am hoping will accept my invitation. Stay tuned to this blog for more information on it. Either way, the show will air at HBM's Crypto-Corner, Sunday afternoons at 5:00 EST/4:00 Central

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over on the Bigfoot Mystery, Randy and Rich, previous guests, returned and did a great job, discussing their research as well as some things they have observed in their research. Bill Green and Thomas were callers, and asked various questions, and Randy and Rich did a great job in their presentations on the air. We also discussed the Sierra Sounds and the English language heard in there, such as when Robert W. Morgan heard one say "You're Not Welcome." Dunno what Darin, Janice and myself have planned for next week, but it starts at 7:00 EST/6:00 Central at The Bigfoot Mystery, Sunday evenings at 7:00 EST/6:00 Central

Book Review: Scweneyti and the Stick Indians of the Colvilles by Dr. Ed Fusch

This short manuscript, a scant 43 pages, is full of great information about the Scweneyti (pronounced Chan Yee Tee), a Native American name for the Forest Giants, translating to "tall, hairy, smells like burnt hair,"which describes many accounts of meetings between Native Americans in the American Northwest and their hairy cousins. It also describes other names for these hairy hominids, such as Skanicum and Choanito (skanicum translates to "Stick Indian" and Choanito translates to "Night People"). The most prevailing trait among all these tribes is that they all were of the belief that these are not large apes, but large hairy humans. I do recommend this manuscript if you can find it. I would give it about a 4 1/2 stars rating.
