Reviews: Nite Callers and HBM's Crypto-Corner 6-28-09

Nite Callers, which was great, had R. Scott Nelson as the guest, a crypto-linguist with over 30 years of experience, who discussed his research into the Sierra Sounds, including that he has found what he deems to be a language in the sounds. He also discussed other sounds that he has heard personally in the field. Several folks called in, including Pat Rance, who had one of his sounds played on the air and Scott determined it was a form of hairy creature based on his research. JayB also called in and discussed sounds with Scott, and I called in and discussed David Paulides' investigations into people claiming to hear sounds like language coming from the woods, as well as David's investigations into the Native American elders saying that Sasquatch understands Native American language if spoken to in that language. Next week, Laurie, Lauren Luke and Bryan welcome wildlife naturalist Larry Battson, beginning at 7:00 EST/6:00 Central.

On HBM's which was also great, the guest was Diane Stocking, who discussed a lot of great critical thinking tactics, and disspelled such things as dermal ridges, the Skookum Cast, tree twists and breaks, the mid-tarsal break and what could be a footprint could also not be one. The only caller was her sister, Donna, and she too answered some great questions and put in her 2 cents worth, which is worth much more than that. Bill got to ask some really good questions too, including about hoaxes (he did mention the you-know-what, without mentioning any names). In 2 weeks, I am working on a special guest, 9:30 EST/8:30 Central. And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.
