In the Wilds of New Jersey, a Legend Inspires a Hunt New York Times
A profile of a group of young people, Devil Hunters they call themselves, who seek out a creature of cryptozoology called the Jersey Devil in the beautiful and mysterious Pine Barrens of New Jersey. Sightings date back to 1735, and this year alone, there have been at least 10 possible encounters. The reporter asks: "Why do we root for the discovery of beings that would subvert our understanding of the natural order?"
