In the report of oddities today: Weird compulsions have occupied "The Saturday Strangeness" column from Londonist in the past, and there's a promise of more to come. Meanwhile today's dip into London, England's "asylum of weirdos" skips over the previously reported "dress-snippers', "buttock slashers" and "cat-rippers" to concentrate on a series of spectacle snatchings that plagued the greater London area in 1975 and 1976. What strange compulsion led someone to rip the eyeglasses from the faces of nearsighted London women? Meanwhile, the surf's up in downtown Munich, Germany, where surfers can ride one of the Weird Waves of the World, and there seems to be a never-ending supply of disturbing stories from a certain section of the globe, as seen in Pakistan's 'Rat People': Exploitation and Tradition.
