Cougar Sightings Bring Out Hoaxes, Fears Press Gazette
Once the state Department of Natural Resources certified a cougar sighting near Milton, after failing to certify any the previous 100 years, others started coming forward. "They no longer felt as if they were claiming Bigfoot raided their cooler and stole the wife's SUV." But hoaxes are still common.
