The legendary Bunyip of Australia has seen its share of change over time. Since European settlers first came to its shores, many Aboriginal tribes told tales of a fearsome creature that took many forms. With so many different descriptions, it became increasingly clear to those determined to document the creature that no one really knew exactly what it looked like and therefore suspected it was a story told to scare away those who dared enter the bush of the vast and hostile countryside so many years ago. Yet the Bunyip, no matter what its origin, seems alive and well with reiterations though television, books, and plays, appealing to children as well as scaring them. And back in the home country, Exotic animals, including big cats, are on the prowl in West, says Eden report.
