35 years gone...

Roger Patterson passed away over 35 years ago on January 18, 1972, but today is his birthday. He would have been 74 years old today. Roger took the famous and controversial Patterson Movie nearly 40 years ago, and it is still a source of debate and controversy even today. Roger also wrote a book in 1966 called Do Abominable Snowmen of America Really Exist?, which was reprinted by Hancock House two years ago with a new section written by Chris Murphy on the film. The book is called The Bigfoot Film Controversy. I salute Roger for his innovation and gumption to study something most people didn't think existed.

5 Years Ago Today...

Professor Grover S. Krantz passed away of pancreatic cancer at his home in Port Angeles, Washington. Krantz was one of the few scientists willing to study the elusive and controversial subject of Sasquatch, and wrote or co-wrote several books on the subject. He had many footprint casts in his lab, most of which were given to Dr. Jeff Meldrum and reside in his lab at Idaho State University. After Dr. Krantz's death at age 70, his body was donated to the University of Tennessee, and his skeleton was donated to the Smithsonian. His Irish wolfhounds' skeletons are also housed with him at the Smithsonian. I salute Dr. Krantz today and every day.
