A monk reported an extraordinary sighting back in 1937 and was so fascinated that he even sent the Pope his report, claiming that not only had he seen Nessie "playing" in the waves of the Loch but also that Nessie was a father with a "wife and kids". Not sure if Sir David was a bit addled in his later years (he was 83 when he reported the sighting) or if he'd just been into the monastery's wine cellar a few too many times but his sighting was definitely unique in all of Loch Ness Monster history. Meanwhile, Loren Coleman ponders the question, What changed the face of Bigfoot between early sketches in the 1960s and 70s up until now. Earlier depictions show Bigfoot with a much more simian facial structure while modern Bigfoot sports a look closer to humans. Nick Redfern explores the legend of another possible cryptid creature as he shares tales from the late 19th century when Terror Reigned in Texas with sightings of gigantic wolves and possible werewolves (likely a feral human girl). These canine legends persist today and were sighted as late as the 1960s. And finally, Live Science takes a look at the Jersey Devil: Impossilbe Animal of Story and Legend, helpfully concluding they don't know what it is either.

Two Clear Possibilities for Bigfoot: Hybrid or Mutant
