Review: Finding Bigfoot 1-27-13

This was actually a really good and enjoyable episode for once, a 7 out of 10. The team travelled to West Virginia where they investigated photos of what appeared to be some kind of dark object which was ambiguous at best, and the teenager who took the photos was making no claims on them. In their first night investigation, they had the young man with them to show them where this area was, and they heard some kind of a howl, but it was inconclusive at best, and Ranae and Cliff had a branch land behind them. Ranae made a decision to stay in that area while the guys went to conduct the packed town hall meeting. Matt went and met with a couple who claimed they saw a 'Squatch near a fence and left some hairs which were collected. Bobo and Cliff met with a witness who saw a Sasquatch in an wooded area (the witness was a former sheriff and Marine) who seemed to be credible. A final witness was interviewed by the three guys, who saw something as well. In their final night operation, they set out some old gutpiles of various types of animals, including deer, and set up a camera trap which was aimed at the gutpile. They heard a loud howl, almost an ascending scream. The results of the DNA extraction from the hair samples were inconclusive, and the camera malfunctioned. Still, the best episode of the new season, but there are other episodes to go, starting with the return of the show in two weeks, where they head to the Badlands of South Dakota, 10:00 EST/9:00 Central on Animal Planet. Check local listings for time and channel.

I just finished this episode also and find it to be one of the better ones. But why do they always go out at night when most of the sightings are in the daytime?

I thought last nights episode was very interesting, as well. But I'm frustrated that although the DNA results for the hair sample were inconclusive, couldn't they at least determine if it was from an ape, bear, human? Yes, DNA was inconclusive, but how about an educated guess as to what the source of the hair was. MamaSquatch

I saw the episode in West Virginia, and agree that it was a very interesting one. I'm confused, however, why they couldn't at least tell what the host was from the hair sample that was obtained. I understand that the DNA was inconclusive, but couldn't they at least tell if it was from an ape, bear, human?

Has to be a coverup, just like the dna was inconslusive last time. Last season bobo had one on camera but he fell and lost it. Destination Truth was more succesful in nepal in one episode with dna evidence.

What???? Bobo had one on camera and lost it......how convenient. I wanna see them go out in the daytime and STAY in one spot for awhile. How can they find one if they only stay for one or 2 nites? If an area is Squatchy, they need to do a thorough investigation there. JMO
