This work discusses Heuvelman's belief that the Neandertal hominids are still alive, and this post shows, for the first time, the color photographs taken by Heuvelmans during his examination of the Minnesota Iceman with Ivan T. Sanderson in 1968. Don't miss it. (And speaking of Ivan, check out Peeking at Ivan's Files: survey notes.) Elsewhere, Nick Redfern reviews another classic cryptozoological tome, Monstrum! A Wizard's Taleby the legendary Tony "Doc" Shiels. In Monstrum! Buy Now! By Gad! Redfern warns potential readers of the polarizing nature of this work. Some will be put off by Shiels' character and tricks, while others will think that he has perhaps come closer to truly understanding the real nature of the Loch Ness Monster, Owlman, Sea-Serpents, and Mothman than anyone else.
