Right on the heels of Ben Radford's new book of Chupacabras skepticism,Tracking the Chupacabra, reports have begun coming out of Mexico that could indicate Radford's "nonexistant" monster might be more real than he thinks. First reports surfaced last week in Mexico's Chiapas State, and now three attacks in Chihuahua, Mexico, reported in El Heraldo de Chihuahuaand translated by Scott Corrales, detail the deaths of 47 sheep and injuries of 35 others in a series of attacks stretching from February 16 to February 25, 2011. In the third attack, a custodian saw the attack taking place and released a Great Dane to drive off the unidentifiable attacker. Whatever was attacking the sheep, however, was able to drive the Great Dane away. In each incident, the attacking animal left unrecognizable tracks and drained the blood from its prey without devouring them. Meanwhile, a 1968 report of a Bigfoot-like creature in Spain is remembered by Javier Resines and translated by Corrales in Spain: Remembering the VilobĂ "Yeti". Elsewhere, Richard Freeman comments on a book released last year by Loren Coleman and Bruce G. Hallenbeck in Monsters of New Jersey Review, calling the book "an interesting first volume in what promises to be a highly collectible series."
