China Hires People to Look for Bigfoot - Would You Join the Hunt? Gather
The search for the Wild Man of Hubei Province in the People's Republic of China is set to get underway again, soon, but first there's a search underway, globally, for members to join three expedition teams. Estimates for the cost of the expedition are in the neighborhood of $1.5M USD, a figure that could sweeten the pot for adventurers. The three teams will trek into rugged mountains of the Shennongjia Nature Reserve paying particular attention to caves in the first search of the region since the 1980s. Over 400 sightings have been reported from the region, and previous expeditions documented footprints, suspected sleeping nests and hair samples the tests say are not from any known animal. Elsewhere, Craig Woolheater reviews a new book that sports a hefty $55 price tag but is replete with scientific inquiry into the nature of the North American version of the Chinese Wild Man in Bindernagel's New Bigfoot Book. Meanwhile, one of the world's foremost cryptozoologists, Loren Coleman, is in southern California and took a side trip to the famous La Brea Tar Pits, a trip that leads to his examination of Dire Wolves, Shunka Warak'ins, and Waheelas, with images.
