Paleontologists from the University of California, Berkeley, and Montana State University are arguing that since it appears dinosaurs underwent dramatic physical changes during adulthood, many fossils of young dinosaurs have been misidentified as unique species. The smoking gun turns out to be the discovery of a dinosaur between the size of an adult T. rex and Nanotyrannus, which if the researchers are correct may actually have been a young T. rex.
