Does a photograph taken with a digital camera by a man taking part in a paranormal group's tour of Oxford Castle in England show the ghost of an angry monk alleged to haunt the castle's crypt? Some investigators, especially those from the paranormal group sponsoring the tour, think the photo is genuine. Elsewhere, Mickey of Miami makes sure you don't have to settle for a trip to Disneyworld during your summer vacation by revealing her Top Ten Best and Most Haunted Places in Florida Where You Can Spot a Ghost.
Southern Fried Bigfoot There's Something in the Woods
There's movie magic in our cryptid corner today, as Nick Redfern offers some background on the new release Southern Fried Bigfoot, an independently-produced documentary exploring tales of Bigfoot-like creatures in the southern US, and Loren Coleman at Cryptomundo has a trailer for the new mockumentary No Burgers for Bigfoot. Meanwhile, the Bigfoot research of the late professor Grover Krantz will be the subject in London during The Cryptozoology Season, the last of Asia's cheetahs might be a bridge between the hostile US and Iran governments, as detailed in Cryptic Cats Link Hostile Governments and the Ukrainian government has plans for the endangered European bison, explained in Radioactive Wisent?

DVD Reviews: McMahon/Wrestlemania 24

In McMahon, the WWE explores the background of the owner/chairman of World Wrestling Entertainment, Vincent Kennedy McMahon, and goes into his background, his family life, his wife and kids and his charitable work. That is his Vince McMahon side. His "Mr. McMahon" character is also profiled, with feuds with Hulk Hogan, Zack Gowan, members of his own family (Shane, Stephanie, even his own wife Linda), Ric Flair, Shawn Michaels, Triple-H and his most famous feud, Stone Cold Steve Austin. This DVD set profiles it all, and does a great job with it. I highly recommend this set to all who love to hate (or hate to love) the evil boss man of the WWE.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 24th-Annual Sports Entertainment extravaganza gets a DVD set worthy of the event itself, which took place at the Citrus Bowl in Orlando, Florida, on March 30th of this year. Terrific matches such as the Money In The Bank Match, which featured as participants Chris Jericho, Shelton Benjamin, Mr. Kennedy, MVP (Montel Vontavious Porter), John Morrison, Carlito and winner C.M. Punk; A Boxer versus Wrestler Match, with Floyd Mayweather versus the Big Show; Brand Supremacy Match, with Smackdown's! Batista facing Raw's Umaga; a Playboy BunnyMania Lumberjack Match with several of the WWE Divas; a Career-Threatening Match with Shawn Michaels defeating "Nature Boy" Ric Flair, whose 35+Year career came to an end and not one, not two, but THREE Championship Matches, with Chavo Guerrero falling very quickly to the Big Red Monster, Kane, a WWE Triple-Threat Match, with Champion Randy Orton defending against Triple-H and John Cena and a World Heavyweight Championship Match, with Edge defending against the 15-0 Wrestlemania winning streak of the Phenom, the Undertaker, who added the World Heavyweight Championship and his 16th Wrestlemania victory to his belt notches. But, even if this were all that was on the set, it would be enough, but the WWE goes the extra mile and brings us the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame Ceremony, which inducts Jack and Jerry Brisco, Gordon Solie, Eddie Graham, Mae Young, High Chief Peter Maivia, Soulman Rocky Johnson and the one most anticipated, Nature Boy Ric Flair, who gave a very memorable hour-long speech. The Brisco brothers were inducted by John Bradshaw Layfield; Gordon Solie was inducted by Jim Ross; Eddie Graham was inducted by his son Mike; Mae Young was inducted by Mean Gene Okerlund; High Chief Peter Maivia was inducted by his wife and daughter; Rocky Johnson was inducted by his son, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Ric Flair was inducted by Triple-H. I highly, VERY highly, recommend this set.

Review: Beyond The Edge Radio 6-20-08

This was a terrific show, with guest Stan Gordon, who discussed the famous Kecksburg, Pennsylvania UFO crash, as well as the flap of Bigfoot/UFO sightings in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania in 1973-74. Bill Green and I called in and I asked about the Shag Harbor, Nova Scotia UFO crash, and Bill asked about Stan's impending book on Bigfoot, as well as about what these creatures do in nasty weather. But before Stan came on, the triumphant return of Scott Hackenslash was tonight, and he discussed the new Hulk, Indiana Jones and Iron Man movies, as well as upcoming films such as Get Smart (which opens this weekend) and other films. Dunno what is up in the continuing Paranormal Party of the Summer for next week, but it should be terrific, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at Beyond The Edge Radio, Friday Nights at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central

In an episode of his Tales of the Weird, Mike Conley relates the details of William Roe's 1957 affidavit to Canadian authorities outlining his strange experience on Micah Mountain near the town of Tete Jaune Cache in British Columbia, Canada. According to Roe's sworn statement, he sat twenty feet away from a female Bigfoot-like creature and observed it for some time before it discovered his presence. There's a Russian version of Sasquatch, too, and the Centre for Fortean Zoology (CFZ) has a team ready to go investigate, as Nick Redfern reports in Tomorrow: The CFZ Quest for the Almasty Begins, with video report link, and follows up with a report of the perils the CFZ team could face in The Hazards of Monster-Hunting. Perhaps the next time the CFZ hits the cryptid trail, they'll take the lead of The Paranormal Pastor and trek to Africa's Burkina Faso to creep up on the cryptid known as The Creature in the Black Ravine. Meanwhile, big cat sightings and other evidence of large felids continues in the United Kingdom, as evidenced in Big Cat on the Prowl at Westhill and Was This Paw-print Left by a Tiger?

Cressie to Surface on Cable Nor'wester
The community of Robert's Arm in Newfoundland has welcomed a film crew gathering footage for a documentary for The History Channel. The subject of the documentary? "Cressie," the legendary creature said to inhabit Crescent Lake. How many cryptids are reported to be occupying the freshwater lakes and rivers of North America? While the next report doesn't mention freshwater cryptids, it doesn't take a lot of imagination to transfer the prevalence of cryptids in freshwaters to the chance of the same in the near limitless depths and spans of the saltwater environs, as remarked in Monsters of the Deep. Meanwhile, The Blogsquatcher makes a statement or two about the classification of Bigfoot in That's Not an Ape! That's a Man, Baby! Elsewhere, there's startling news from the state of Maryland, as Loren Coleman of Cryptomundo reports Bigfooter Bob Chance Indicted and, in a story that would appear to indicate that ornithologists are running out of names for our feathered friends, the "Nonggang babbler" has been identified, as noted in New Chinese Bird Species Discovered. Review: Sasquatch Triangle 6-19-08

This was a great show, with guest Joedy Cook to discuss last night's Monsterquest. I was on the line for the show due to computer problems, but it was great from what I heard. Several things were discussed on the show pertaining to the TV program last evening, including the baboon skull, the helicopter with the thermal camera on it, the reports from Salt Fork State Park and other things. Terry and Treba Jahn were also part of the show, and called in and gave the show high marks, and Mike from Cincinnati also called in and gave his stamp of approval to the MQ show. Next week, Don brings back Mike Frizzell to the show, from the Enigma Project, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at The Sasquatch Triangle, Now On NowLive.com

Review: Monsterquest 6-18-08

The first unknown hominid episode of the new season focuses on the Ohio Grassman, the Buckeye State's version of Sasquatch or Bigfoot, featuring local Ohio researchers Don Keating and Joedy Cook, who are seen in Salt Fork State Park searching for evidence of the Grassman. Chris Murphy is also interviewed discussing the history of Grassman sightings in Ohio, and a shelter structure found near Akron is shown as well. Cook presents a baboon skull, strangely enough, considering there are no baboons in Ohio, that he found. Don's August 2, 1992 video of a possible white Grassman is analyzed as well, and Keating hooks up with two individuals from Michigan, Chris Bergen and Greg Alderman, who have a small model helicopter specifically designed to carry cameras and film from above. After testing it during the day in the skies over Salt Fork State Park, they switch it to night viewing, with a thermal camera attached, and pick up a warm-bodied signature on the camera. Unfortunately, the helicopter begins to run out of power and has to be brought back down before further confirmation on the signature can be determined. Cook searches the area of the signature. Cook sets a decoy head and makeshift body out in the area, surrounded by game cams. Terry and Treba Jahn describe their encounter at Salt Fork as well,a midnight encounter. Don and Jody set out after dark in the Park to find evidence and attempt a communication with wood-knocking. Don also lets out a few whoops attempting to get a response. Jimmy Chilcutt is also shown receiving a handprint casting from Cook and he examines it. Dr. Esteban Sarmiento also examines a cry recorded by Keating which is deemed inconclusive, as well as the baboon skull. Chilcutt says that positively, the handprint is of a non-human primate. Rich Lamonica also describes his sighting, and his sighting is recreated.
Joedy does a bit of an experiment building a shelter similar to the one he and others found in 1995. It was one of the better episodes for sure, very well-done, and a big hand goes to History and the producers of the show, as well as the participants. Next week, the focus is on Giant Snakes, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central on History. Check local listings for time and channel.
Among today's decidely odd news reports: In Silicon Valley on America's west coast, many of the newer entrants into today's business "rat race" are shying away from chips, software and the like to embrace a new technology that may - or may not - be a step forward in the world's "greening revolution." In a technology that depends on genetic engineering to find its trillions of employees (microbes, for the most part), such business aspirants are coddling engineered bacteria that can subsist on waste products and, in the process, deliver crude oil as a byproduct. Couldn't they have tweaked these microbes just a little bit more and developed some that excrete 87 octane gasoline? And what happened to the long-held belief that it takes millions of years and the deaths of untold numbers of carbon-based lifeforms, under immense pressure and in broiling heat, to produce oil and coal? Then, again, crude oil and its resultant petroleum and diesel distillates could become a thing of the past, as reported at Frank Warren's Blog in New Fuel Cell System 'Generates Electricity with only Water, Air', with a photo of an automobile adapted to the technology; and there are more strange vehicles, including a flying saucer video demonstration, at Chinese Company Develops'UFO': Report. Elsewhere among today's oddities, we find Rick Phillips breaking out The Heavy Stuff during the "Silly Season" of impending political change to lament the fact that the segment of our society probably least likely to understand our desire to find new and better ways to connect with our "minds" are the ones who govern how we do it, as decried in Consciousness, Chemicals and Pathetic Politicians, while the environmental impact of man's voracious seafood appetite, along with that always handy culprit global warming, takes the hit for the proliferation of one of the least understood organisms in our oceans, as reported in Jellyfish Outbreaks a Sign of Nature Out of Sync.
The venerable "Beeb" has a fascinating foray into the West Garo Hills of northeastern India, within Meghalaya State, as Alastair Lawson pursues evidence of the mysterious, hairy, manlike creature known in the area as mande barung, the forest man. Is the terrain such that an 8-foot-tall, near-700-pound man/beast could wander nearly undetected? A large accompanying photo file gives you an idea of where one of the Indian sub-continent's most mysterious creatures may have secreted itself away from the inquisitive eyes of civilization. There's more information, including photos, in Mande Burung (Bigfoot of Garo Hills, Meghalaya). In the not-so-cryptid creature file, the continuing search for the bird that may not be extinct (but hope is fading), the vaunted Ivory-billed Woodpecker, has Don Hendershot reporting from the Naturalist's Corner that things are not going too well for searchers in his playfully titled tale Heh-heh-heh-heaah-uh-huh-heaah-uh-huh, an approximation of the sound made famous by Walter Lantz's cartoon character Woody Woodpecker. Elsewhere, Nick Redfern at There's Something in the Woods reveals CFZ Yearbooks - Back in Print, an event sure to elicit raves from fans of cryptid creatures and those intrepid adventurers who seek them. Meanwhile, at Cryptomundo, Loren Coleman thanks goodness the ghosts are gone (for the moment) from "MonsterQuest," and seems to welcome Don Keating's Ohio Grassman, the latest target of a "MonsterQuest" investigation.

Monsterquest Tomorrow...

MonsterQuest : Ohio Grassman Airs on Wednesday June 18 09:00 PM/8:00 Central

Just miles from the industrial cities of Ohio, there is a bogeyman that has terrified local children for over a century. According to stories and sightings, the Grassman is similar to a Bigfoot, but builds strange nests and has been known to attack. Can science help explain this creature? Is a primate skull, a strange print and a new video the first direct proof behind the legendary Grassman? We'll sift through the existing evidence and take to the skies in a search for what is stalking Ohio.

Check local listings for time and channel.

Review: Bigfoot Quest 6-17-08

This was a great and very funny show, with guests Eric Altman, Billy Willard and Tom Lancaster, who had quite a round-robin of tales to tell about a recent expedition they went on last week in Pennsylvania, including some funny tales involving bears chasing Tom, deer about to trample Billy and Tom and communicating by snort with said deer. Bill and I called in, as did Stan Courtney, who discussed a bit of his research (always a pleasure to hear from Stan). Dunno what the guys have planned for next week, but tonight's was a lot of fun. The show starts at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at Bigfoot Quest, Tuesday Nights at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central

You can also download past episodes there, as well as subscribe via iTunes. And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT FOR TOMORROW NIGHT!!!!!!!!!

In addition to the Monsterquest show airing tomorrow night on the Ohio Grassman featuring Don Keating, I have learned this today: according to the Squatch Detective himself, Steve Kulls, Tom Biscardi has pulled off a major coup. Tomorrow night, on http://www.bigfootliveradioshow.com beginning at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central/8:00 Mountain/7:00 Pacific, none other than Mr. Bob Gimlin will be one of the guests, sitting opposite the one and only Bob Heironimus. They will discuss the whole fiasco of this Massacre ordeal and possibly also hash things out between each other over the whole "guy-in-a-suit" thing. Should be quite the interesting and enlightening program, so if y'all decide to tune in, then please do so. This should be a barnburner.

Update: Gimlin MAY or MAY NOT be on Biscardi's show tomorrow night. According to Diane Stocking, she claims she just spoke to Gimlin, and he told her he did not agree to be on Biscardi's or ANYBODY'S show. I do not know what to make of all this, but more as this develops.
The recent attack that killed an alpaca on a farm in Marathon County, WI, recalls the 2006 Bigfoot Researchers Organization's trip to northern Wisconsin. The alpaca attack has been attributed to a bear on the strength of hair found on a damaged fence. But what if it was not a bear? Could Bigfoot have found an easy meal? Or, as one reader remarked, could the attack have been the work of "a creature known as the bearwolf," reported to have been sighted in Marathon County and elsewhere around Wisconsin? Meanwhile, Loren Coleman at Cryptomundo takes a look at reconstructions and the fossil record to try to determine What Is Bigfoot? With photos and illustrations. In other strange creature news, the reports of previously unknown creatures found in 2007 is out as a Group Touts 10 Wild New Species.

And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

Review: The Bill Green Show/The No-Kill Zone/Squatch Detective Radio 6-16-08

Bill and Sean did a great job, discussing the recent Scott Marlowe situation, as well as a movie review of the new Incredible Hulk Movie. Bob Coyne called in and gave his two cents on the situation, as well as some other stuff. The next show next Monday begins at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central A.M. at The Bill Green Show, Monday Mornings at various times

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Steve Abney, Janice Carter and Luke Gross began the new No-Kill Zone show with Linda Godfrey as guest-interviewer, with guest Connie G. (Windspirit), who discussed not only Bigfoot activity, but also Dogman activity, and Bill and I called in and asked some questions of Connie, who also said that the Bigfoot creatures in his area are scared of the Dogmen. It was a terrific show, full of great information. Next week, on Monday, begins at 6:00 EST/5:00 Central at The No-Kill Zone Radio Show

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Finally, on Squatch Detective Radio, the guest was John Johnsen, and he discussed some things referring to the whole M.K. Davis/Scott Marlowe situation, and how the whole situation with M.K. went down and how he met M.K., and also some of his work with M.K. on his documentaries. He discussed his recent sales, as well as other aspects of the Bigfoot community. He also discussed about how some of those at the Ohio Conference pretty much stabbed M.K. in the back supposedly. It was a rather interesting show. Dunno what is planned for next week, but it starts at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at SquatchdetctiveRadio You can also download past episodes of all three shows at their respective addresses, as well as subscribe to all via iTunes. And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.
Rex Gilroy, an Australian extinct animal researcher, is calling on the readership of a New Zealand newspaper to help him locate the living moa, a supposedly extinct giant flightless bird, he thinks is roaming New Zealand's Rimataka Range. With photo. Elsewhere in the search for mysterious creatures, those giant "footprints" found near an orchard in Borneo have prompted the report 'Bigfoot' is Someone's Idea of a Joke. Meanwhile, there's no joking in the lates US Bigfoot controversy, which has led to a New Bigfoot Theory Statement and Filmmaker: My Last Bigfoot Massacre Statement. The "Bigfoot Massacre" controversy isn't the only coverage of huge hairy hominoids in North America today, though, as Loren Coleman proves in his Cryptomundo post Myakka, Masks, and Apemania. With photo. On the other hand - or should we say "arm" - there could be proof "Hobbits" Might Have Descended from First Tiny Humans to Leave Africa.

Join Host Steve Kulls along with Co-hosts Billy Willard and Becky Sawyer as they discuss the hot topics in the Bigfoot world and research community, with tonight's guest: John Johnsen of Grendel Films being interviewed by Steve Kulls, discussing the recent theories put forth concerning the Patterson/Gimlin Film in a two hour special show.

Due to the nature of the topic tonight, we will NOT be opening the phone lines, however if time permits, chat room Questions will be taken and civility will be expected in the chat room as respect not only to the guest but to the hosts as well. Failure to comply with this in the chat room will result in a life ban from the show chat room.

The show begins at 9PM EST to 11PM EST.

Review: HBM's Crypto-Corner/The Bigfoot Mystery 6-15-08

Mine and Bill's show was good, but not great, because of some drama that occurred in the chatroom which spilled over onto our phone lines, but it was a good show nevertheless. I had a roundtable discussion with Janice Carter, Tom Shirley, Steve Summar, Darin Richardson and Thomas Hughes, and we discussed a bit about the whole situation with Scott Marlowe and M.K. Davis and John Johnsen, as well as getting into a bit of the pro-kill/no-kill debate, and also into other aspects of the no-kill position and current research by all the panelists. Connie G. called in and discussed what the ratio was on the no-kill aspect, and we also had Marc Footery call in and discuss some things. Eric Altman also called in but that degenerated into a bit of an argument with some folks in our chat and also on the phone, and Bill asked him about the whole Marlowe situation, which Eric answered. It will be a while before there is another HBM's due to me getting a new gig, which I will discuss below. My next show will be about the Dogman or American Werewolf, and I am hoping to get Linda Godfrey as my guest, beginning at the usual time of 5:00 EST/4:00 Central at HBM's Crypto-Corner, Sunday afternoons at 5:00 EST/4:00 Central

possibly on July 13th.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Over on the Bigfoot Mystery, a great show, with a returning guest, Randy from Canada, who was on last week, to discuss more about his research and encounters in the Great White North. We also had a prank caller who was quickly dealt with, and Bill Green and Thomas called in as well and asked some great questions. Janice really took the bull by the horns, so to speak, asking some really great questions of Randy referring to Habituation and any field techniques and other things. Dunno what we have planned for next week, but it should be a good one, beginning at 7:00 EST/6:00 Central at The Bigfoot Mystery, Sunday evenings at 7:00 EST/6:00 Central

And you will notice I said "we"-well, I am now the new permanent co-host for the Bigfoot Mystery, and I take that job on with great pride and hope that it goes well. For both programs, you can download past episodes, as well as subscribe via iTunes. And as always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.
Anthony North points out the various purposes assigned to the famed circular structure in Wiltshire, England, and notes that our "modern world is one of specialization" requiring everything to "have a specific reason for its existence." But early man, according to North and others, "did not reason as we do." Was there more than one purpose for Stonehenge?
"With the help of the humble chicken" scientists at several locations in the US and Canada believe they can "reverse evolution" to create a dinosaur...or something that looks like a dinosaur. Key quote: "Whether it is a good idea or not is another question." Find out how chicken tails, chicken teeth and chicken "hands" have been created by genetic manipulation. With photos. But dinosaurs aren't the only organisms being "resurrected," as reported in Israeli Scientists Grow Palm from 2,000-year-old Seed at Masada.

Recipe for a great salad

Ingredients:

Lettuce (can be store-bought, but fresh is good too)

Fresh cucumber from a garden

Fresh bell pepper from a garden

pepper

salt (optional)

salad dressing of your choice (my preference is Thousand Island)

This kind of salad is good with fish filets or chicken tenders, or is just good enough by itself, with a nice tall glass of sweet iced tea.

Bigfoot Mystery Today...

Darin, Luke Gross, Janice Carter and myself will have as our guest a return from last week, Randy from Canada, beginning at 7:00EST/6:00 Central at The Bigfoot Mystery, Sunday evenings at 7:00 EST/6:00 Central
