With photos, text and video, a dozen animals and insects are shown to have stopped any evolution in their form and function millions of years ago, despite evolution of other related organisms. Key quote: "To navigate the currents of ecological fate, most creatures adapt - but a few have stuck to their evolutionary guns." What allowed these organisms to maintain their form and function while all around them change was taking place?
