Road Trip: Day 2

We spent most of the day at area 143 in an undisclosed eastern state with a couple and their son, who were experiencing some activity in their area. They have been having activity on their property, and we investigated it (Janice, Tom, Buffalo Hump and myself). We found some possible trail-markers, a possible shelter and heard possible vocalizations. But the most dramatic occurrence was the possible activity of a juvenile in a high tree causing it to sway back and forth. I attempted to get a photo of it, but it was too high up and heavily camouflaged by surrounding foliage. There were also finger and hand prints seen on the vehicles of the homeowners, and two footprint casts, one which measured about 16 1/2 inches, the other about 14 1/2. It is supposed to rain later today, so that will dampen any research efforts in this area. However, we are still a go for the Ohio Conference in two days. Continue to stay tuned for further updates.
