Review: Beyond The Edge Radio 2-1-08

This was a truly great show, with guest the legendary Robert W. Morgan, who discussed his organization, the American Anthropological Research Foundation and the research it is involved in, as well as about his research into what he calls the Forest Giants, what we know as Bigfoot or Sasquatch. He answered many questions from the chatroom, as well as callers like Bill Green, a fellow named Scott and myself, who asked him about his associate Eliza Moorman, as well as about whether Bob Gimlin actually pointed his rifle at "Patty" (he did get into the P/G Movie as well) and also about Bugs and that story. The Bugs story seemed to be what several listeners wanted to hear, and Morgan told it just as well as he always does. This show was a wonderful opportunity to hear a true legend, not only in Bigfooting but in humanity as well. And he is a humble fellow too on top of it. Not sure what Sean and Eric have in store next week, but it should be a good one, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/beyondtheedgeradio As always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

DVD Review: Family Guy Presents Blue Harvest

This 2-Disc DVD Set is full of extras, including in the box set a set of trading cards, a T-Shirt depicting the cover art for the DVD and a booklet called The Art of Blue Harvest. The Family Guy episode this DVD is based from is a spoof of Star Wars Episode IV, and it is a hilarious one. Peter Griffin is Han Solo, Chris Griffin is Luke Skywalker, Lois Griffin is Princess Leia, Brian Griffin is Chewbacca, Quagmire is C-3PO, Cleveland is R2-D2, Herbert the Pervert is Obi-Wan Kenobi, Joe is Biggs, Mayor Adam West is Grand Moff Tarkin and Stewie Griffin is Darth Vader. It is an absolutely hilarious spoof episode which has some shots that are taken directly from the original movie, but also some shots which are done in the distinct Family Guy style. It is a combination of regular animation and CGI, and the extras on the DVD are great too, such as Seth McFarlane, the series creator, sitting down and talking to George Lucas (who is a big fan of the show), the making of this episode, a 3-D scene (which comes with special 3-D Glasses) and a look at the episode completely in animatics. This DVD set is definitely worth its price, and highly-recommended. 4 1/2 stars!!!

Review: The Sasquatch Triangle 1-31-08/Special announcement

This was a great show, with guests Ron Schaffner, Bobbie Short and Diane Stocking, who discussed things from a rather skeptical point of view, including topics such as sighting reports, sound reports (speaking of which, my vocal performance from last October was also played over the air), and the sounds are subjective unless you see a creature make it. I also mentioned that a person should have another hobby besides Bigfoot. A fellow named Dr. Wade called in and talked about primates as related to Bigfoot, as well as some theories about the creatures. Ray swallace was also brought up because we played a song by Don Jones who had some of Wallace's alleged Bigfoot screams on the song. It was a great show ,and I enjoyed it. Next week, Don will have as his guest M.K. Davis, foremost authority on the Patterson/Gimlin Movie, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/sasquatchexperience As always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

Anomalous Stories

'I'm Looking Through You' Los Angeles Times
From the book review: "When the author was 13, the family moved to a big old house in Pennsylvania, fondly referred to in the following years as the Coffin house, after previous owners. From the sound of it, you'd have to be dead yourself not to pick up on the past lives in this house, particularly a little girl who drowned, but also an older woman. Both appeared regularly to Boylan, in the form of identifiable (if gauzy) humans, blue mist or skin-tingling fields of energy."

What caused this feature on Mercury, which is said to be unilike anything seen elsewhere in the solar system? Scientists are puzzled by what appears to be an impact crater surround by more than 50 cracks in the surface radiating from its center.

Ghosts’ Eject Families Daily Nation
Not ghosts, but poltergeists. Seven families in a Kenyan village have been sleeping in the cold for the past four weeks after allegedly being ejected from their houses by a poltergeist that has pelted the roofs of their homes with stones, caused havoc to the their property through mysterious fires, and smeared their faces with soil as they slept.

Review: Let's Talk Bigfoot 1-30-08

This was a GREAT show, with guest Doug Hajicek (Sasquatch: Legend Meets Science, Giganto: The Real King Kong, Mysterious Encounters, Monsterquest) who discussed mainly the new show, mostly being asked about the two episodes which focused on Sasquatch and Bigfoot. Doug was asked about the screwboard samples from Snelgrove Lake and the DNA collected from them, as well as the incident on that Sasquatch episode where Dr. Meldrum and Curt Nelson went into the cabin, seemingly cowardly to avoid the rocks being thrown at them. Doug recounted an incident where while he was staying in the cabin, it came under assault from rocks. He also discussed the Bigfoot episode which Melissa was part of. Bill Green called in close to the end and asked Doug about the future of Monsterquest, as well as possible complimentary copies of DVD's. Next week, three BFRO members, all from Northern California, Tom Yamarone, James "Bobo" Fay and Bart Cutino will be Teresa Hall's guests (LTB is changing its format slightly in that one week it will be Melissa hosting, and on opposite weeks it will be Teresa hosting), next week at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central at http://www.letstalkbigfoot.com As always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

Review: XZone 1-29-08/Let's Talk Bigfoot 1-23-08

This short one-hour segment was pretty wonderful, with myself and Rob discussing some things such as new things in the field, the image on Mars (which was only two inches high and was not a Bigfoot) and a little rehashing on the old chestnut of the P/G Movie, which I was reticent to discuss. Bill Green called in and gave his opinion on the image on Mars, and I was quick to correct him on it being a possible anything as far as Bigfoot on Mars. We also discussed a bit about Robert W. Morgan stepping out of the Bigfoot field and going into film. It was a pretty good segment, I enjoyed it.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This segment featured Bill Lee of the American Anthropological Research Foundation (it was supposed to be Robert W. Morgan, but he had an emergency, so the golden-throated former DJ Mr. Lee stepped in). He discussed some of the theories of the AARF as well as Morgan's theories as well as answering questions from chatters. He also discussed Morgan's claimed findings on the P/G Movie of more than one creature. It was a great show, full of great info.

Review: Bigfoot Quest 1-29-08

This was a great show, with guest James Baker, whom many of you know for his stint as co-host of the Sasquatch Experience, but this was his chance to shine and discuss migration in Sasquatch creatures. He talked about the Appalachian Mountains being possibly used as a migration route, as well as reasons these creatures might migrate, such as following food supply, going to a warmer climate and possibly even following water supply. Sean and I called in and asked James some questions, and also made a few statements. It was a great show, and James is really doing a great job with the migration theories. Don't know what Bob and Mike have in mind for next week, but it should be a great one, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Bigfoot_Quest As always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

Review: Bigfoot Central 1-29-08

This was a pretty great show, with a minimum of P/G Movie talk, with guest Tim Boone, a researcher from the South who discussed some of his research in Washington State as well as his sighting in Northeastern Oregon a few years ago. He discussed some unusual activity he experienced in his research in Washington State, particularly around the Wanaha River, and it was a fascinating show, and there was a bit of talk at the end about the P/G Movie, but it did not overwhelm the show, fortunately. It was a true pleasure to hear this show. Don't know what they are up to next week, but it should be a good one, next Tuesday at 8:00 EST/7:00 Central at http://www.artistfirst.com As always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

The show can be found at http://www.xzoneradio.com and http://www.xzonetv.com Should be a good one.

Review: Squatch Detective Radio 1-28-08

This was an absolutely wonderful show, with guest Sali Sheppard-Wolford, author of Valley of The Skookum, who discussed some of the happenings described in the book, as well as answering questions from the chat and a few phone calls from folks like myself, Tom Lancaster and Darin Richardson. She also told the skunk story in which it seems there is a skunk under her closet which stinks up the house. She told of the experiences she and her family had in the area near Orting, Washington, in the mid-late-1970's in the old cabin they lived in, as well as about a character of a neighbor named Youdi who wore some pretty interesting clothing and had a dog. It was an absolutely wonderful 90-minute show, full of great information. Next week will see Tim Day, a Wisconsin researcher as the guest, and that too will be at least 90 minutes long, beginning at 9:00 EST/8:00 Central at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/TheSquatchDetective As always, we encourage you to please tune in and support great research.

Editorial: Coming to the defense of Bob Gimlin

There has been quite a bit written and said about the Patterson/Gimlin Movie, more especially in recent years about Mr. Bob Gimlin, which has angered quite a few people, because some skeptically-minded individuals have made claims about Mr. Gimlin which have yet to be substantiated, calling him a liar and a hoaxer, without absolute proof to back it up other than the word of Bob Heironimus and supposedly 100 residents of Yakima, Washington. Heironimus, of course, has pretty well made quite a few contradictory statements regarding the origin of the alleged suit, as well as the location of the film site and other aspects of the mystery. I am coming to the defense of Bob Gimlin, even though it seems over the past few months I sometimes take the devil's advocate position a little too strongly sometimes. I believe the film shows a real creature, but even if it doesn't, it does not mean that Gimlin was in on it. He could have been duped, and that is not a slam on his character. We have all been duped by someone or something in this field of inquiry, so if Gimlin was duped, he is good company. I personally do not think he was duped-I believe by 90% the film is real and shows a real Sasquatch. Gimlin is a personal hero, and I believe he is telling the truth, despite what a few skeptically-minded individuals might say about him. Why should he have to take a polygraph test if they are so unreliable and are not an absolute gauge of truth or deception? I feel that Gimlin, except for speaking at a few events, just wants to be left alone and not bothered so much about all the drama surrounding this film. He knows in his heart he is telling the truth, and has a good bit of backup in that regard, including myself, so far as I am concerned, Gimlin is telling the truth, and that is all there is to it.
