Editorial: Is this hunt about Sasquatch or personalities?
In some recent discussions I have had in recent days with trusted friends, we have been perhaps forgetting and taking our focus off the subject of our search, the elusive Sasquatch. We have instead focused on certain personalities, questionable or otherwise, and it's fun for a while, but it gets to the point to where this becomes nothing more than rumor-mongering and gossip and not about the true research. One of the individuals who seems to generate the most discussion is Tom Biscardi, who everyone in the Sasquatch community has an opinion about good or bad. He has been the subject of discussions I have participated in on many a night recently, especially since after the recent Paris, Texas expedition in which some things have been said that were considered "questionable." OK, well, so what if a tornado was not seen "on the ground," or there was no tornado warning for the area? A tornado was seen in the sky, wasn't it? It only becomes a tornado when it hits the ground, so what if Biscardi and his team called a funnel cloud a tornado? So what if things are misunderstood and exaggerated about Biscardi? Is this field about personalities and their perceived screw-ups, or about researching an unknown, hairy biped? Why don't we quit gossiping about so-and-so or such-and-such and get on with the business of proving these things exist? Have we turned into a bunch of old ladies talking over the neighbor's fence about so-and-so down the street who committed some unpardonable sin? Even if the gossip is true, what does it benefit us? What benefit is there in us destroying someone's reputation? Does it get us any closer to solving this mystery? Does running Tom Biscardi, Loren Coleman, Matt Moneymaker or any other polarizing individual in this field of inquiry down help us get that one piece of evidence that proves to the world there is a Sasquatch? Of course not. Now, things that do help us get closer to solving it is diligent field research, radio shows interviewing the researchers who get out there and put together this puzzle, blogs which provide information to the researchers, organizations getting together and having discussions on theories and ideas of how to do better research. These are positive steps, not tearing someone down, not sitting around gossiping like a bunch of old ladies. If we spent half as much time trying to solve this mystery as we do trying to tear someone down, we'd have moved on to Loch Ness by now!!!
Review: Squatch Detective Radio 4-16-07
This was a great show, with NESRA members Chuck Adinolfi and Chris Bartow discussing this weekend's NESRA expedition in the Adirondack Mountains. They talked about the equipment they used, along with their techniques and unique way of researching. They did find some things such as large deer tracks, and some of them spotted a large buck. They also recorded barred owls, as well as a possible Sasquatch vocalization. Mike Killen (the "Long Island Yeti") called in and gave his impressions of the expedition and what he experienced. I really enjoyed hearing the show and getting insights into their methods and techniques. Time to say goodbye to our Wednesday Night show as we know it. Our last guest will be none other that OHIO researcher Don Keating. Don is the organizer of the famous Annual Ohio Bigfoot Conference, and veteran Bigfoot researcher, as well as an amatuer meteorologist.
Then we turn the reigns over to our new Wed Nite Hosts, Melissa Hovey and Teresa Hall for our all new segment, produced by Bob and Kathy Strain, "Let's Talk Bigfoot". New Bigfoot Radio Show Announced!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Starting Wednesday, April 25th, at 10:00 EST/9:00 Central, Melissa Hovey and Teresa Hall will begin a new venture on Blog Talk Radio, called "Let's Talk Bigfoot." The venture is being done in conjunction with the Sasquatch Experience and is produced by our good friends Kathy and Bob Strain. We welcome Melissa, Teresa, Bob and Kathy to the Squatch Media Inc. Family and look forward to a long and fruitful relationship.
Review: Sasquatch Experience 4-15-07
This was supposed to be a show with Ray Crowe, but unfortunately we could not get a hold of him, so we had a roundtable with Bill Green, Melissa Hovey, Teresa Hall, James Baker and Steve Pickett and we just discussed a few issues. Melissa and Teresa discussed their upcoming show on Blog Talk Radio which is a joint venture with Squatch Media Inc. and the Sasquatch Experience (and will be discussed further in the next post), as well as things like the Patterson/Gimlin Movie, activity in Arkansas and Texas, migration patterns in Arkansas and Texas, and other various topics. It was a great roundtable discussion, and a lot of fun. Our next show is Wednesday night with Don Keating, at 9:30 EST. It will be our last Wednesday show, but see the next post for information on the replacement show...

Bigfoot, or the Sasquatch, has been portrayed in most so-called sightings as a shy, elusive creature. Not so in this novel by talented new writer Matthew Scott Hansen. In his debut thriller, Bigfoot is a vengeful, murderous "hominid," halfway between human and animal, who kills and eats hapless victims, partly from hunger, but also in revenge for having wiped out its community with forest fires. A wealthy computer executive, Ty Greenwood, has had his life ruined when after a non-fatal encounter with a Bigfoot, he is held up to public ridicule. Then people start disappearing in the Washington mountains, and an ambitious and ruthless female TV reporter sets out to make her career by spreading stories about a serial killer, instead of heeding a savvy cop's suspicions that what is happening may be due to something that is not human. Another character is a canny Native American actor who has a spiritual insight into the beast, and who is determined to hunt it down. Fossil remains confirm that an immense hominid once existed and the author provides a surprisingly persuasive case that they still do. A good story. (H. B. Fenn)
"Sasquatch Experience Lite" To Be Cancelled, But...
quality Bigfoot Internet Radio Programming is not leaving the Blog Talk Radio Family on Wednesday nights. Starting very soon, Alliance of Independent Bigfoot Researchers members Teresa Hall and (American Bigfoot Society President) Melissa Hovey will have their own BTR radio program, to give a sorely-needed women's perspective on the subject of hairy bipeds worldwide. There will be more details on this as it develops, but right now, I do know it will air Wednesday nights at 10:00 EST starting April 25th, interestingly enough opposite Tom Biscardi's "Bigfoot Live" Radio Program. However, the "S.E.L." is going out with a bang, as we host Eastern Ohio Bigfoot Information Center founder Don Keating this Wednesday the 18th at 9:30 EST/8:30 Central.
