Editorial: The Sequoia Video: Real or Hoax?
Recently, a new video has come to light (although some say it has been on the Net for about a year) from California which shows two young men out in the woods on a nature hike, when suddenly an alleged Sasquatch creature shows up behind a young man who is drinking from a stream. This frightens the young man who gets up and runs; the supposed creature runs in the other direction, rather casually. The video can be seen Here and seems to be a hoax, based on the fact that there is not only this video, but also still photos taken from multiple angles, which would be impossible for a shy creature. Plus, the feet on the subject are too small for a creature with a foot size to rival Shaquille O'Neal. This video is called the "Sequoia Video" by the way, and it seems not to be genuine footage of a Sasquatch, but rather a slick video production by a video production company called StudioDrome. So, the verdict on this video is most likely a hoax. Obviously, anything on YouTube is automatically suspect.
Review: Squatch Detective Radio 1-22-07
Our own Bill Green was the guest tonight and discussed his research in Connecticut as well as his opinions on things going on in the field. The recent Sequoia video was discussed, as well as great calls from Tom Lancaster, Mike Killen and Billy Willard, who asked some great questions of Bill, who answered them wonderfully. Bill is a true treasure when it comes to this research, and he is a special guy to all of us in the Sasquatch community. Steve's next show will have Mike Killen, next Monday at 9:00 EST at http://www.blogtalkradio.com/thesquatchdetective Please tune in and support great research.

Movie Review: Harry and the Hendersons

This film, released in 1987, is a wonderful family film which just happens to depict a gentle Sasquatch. George Henderson (John Lithgow) is on vacation with his family in the woods near Seattle, Washington, when on the way home, his station wagon hits a large, unusual creature, a Sasquatch. His wife Nan (Melinda Dillon (A Christmas Story, Close Encounters of the Third Kind) objects to the idea of taking the thing home, but they take it home and all hilarity ensues. The creature, Harry (Kevin Peter Hall, Predator) gets loose in a Seattle neighborhood and frightens the locals. George checks out some books from the library on Bigfoot, including some journals from a Dr. Wallace Wrightwood, a John Green-like scientist (Don Ameche, Cocoon, Trading Places) who George visits up near Index, Washington. Meanwhile, Jacques Lefleur (David Suchet, Hercule Poirot on Mystery!), a Robert W. Morgan lookalike with a Rene Dahinden-like accent is on the hunt for Harry, which George is trying to protect. I won't give away the ending, but it is a great movie and highly recommended. It is coming out on DVD April 24.
